I haven't seen these covered lately, so here goes.

If you puppet a nation, you get military access, so your panzer divisions can roll right on through with no trouble. Right? So why in the heck can your supply routes not do the same?

Example: I play as Germany. I crush and puppet Italy. My divisions can now operate all the way to the tip if the nation. The Spanish civil war starts, and I send divisions to fight, but my supply route has to trace back to a German port, rather than, say, Genoa. My question is, why?

I hope that this kind of thing gets fixed in HoI 3. As far as I can see, I should be able to trace supply, trade, and MP land connections through puppets in war or peace w/o difficulty.

Any thoughts?

I agree entirely. Puppets need to be slightly reworked in most aspects.

I concur whole heartedly. I was rather peeved in HOI2 that I couldn't manually assign the port of choice. I can't begin to tell you how irritated I was when I'd invade Norway at times and wind up with my supply depot out in the North Sea rather then right there at the entrance to Baltic..... or was I just doing something wrong. The Royal Navy would constantly attack transports where as if it ran straight from Lubeck to Oslo I was good. As far as I could tell, I could never manually set the home port.
