It would be nice to be able to play as some countries that are puppets in this game, but it's no fun unless you can free yourself and become a world power.

I was thinking, maybe if you reach certain parameters, you can be given the option to declare independence from your puppet-master or even be able to ask your puppet-master for independence through cooperation.

What parameters would the community suggest?

I was thinking of moving Political sliders to Hawk Lobby to declare independence through force or Dove Lobby to ask for release through cooperation. Also, maybe need a certain size military or economy.

nations should be able to pressure a puppet. like if their puppet gets a nuke and they want it...and their puppets should be more willing to trade. also, their puppets should be in an alliance even if its an isolationist nation (tonsa probs with the Philipines and 36/39/41 usa).

Unrest - Conquered IC's - Annexation.

OOOps, did it again. Sorry for that. What I wanted to say in this thread was, how would you go about making them Independent?

Also, what happens when a colonial power finds itself conquered? I would think that this would lead too immediate rebellions in every province in their empires that do not contain ground forces.

Yeah, I think it'd be nice to be able to declare independence, maybe there could be the option of playing as some kind of offmap nation, and you can declare independance and whatnot.

yes, this should have a thread of its own. anyways, how the hell did a Nazi/interventionist country get dissent. you can attack anybody the fuck you want????

Lol, I don't know...
Keep in mind I have just had the game for 2 weeks now. I started in 1936, went too war right away, and immediately got 5% dissent per nation I attacked. Cut into my IC's quite a bit.

Along the lines of a country declaring it's Independence from it's puppet master controller (sort of a national level partisan revolt), what did you have in mind for the trigger conditions?
