Public Demo???

Dear paradox, i was wondering will their be any open demo before the game actually release's and if so when?

there are plenty of lets plays and previews out there. i hope paradox just focuses on making a highly polished release version. they have 3 months to get the game gleaming brighter than king richard's crown.

I'd say it's very likely we'll get a demo. What I and many others want is early access beta/a preview copy for thus of us who preorder the game. Afterall, apparently we're supposed to be special when we preorder .

I haven't seen any demos for grand strategy games by paradox interactive. Sadly I think you're out of luck on that one.

HoI, Rome, and Sengoku had demos I know. Didn't EU3 have one? I can't remember...

Either way I bet CK2 will have one and I can't wait for it. I'd settle an early one tomorrow rather than waiting for release, but maybe a beta for pre-orders would be even nicer.

Demo still might not give you accurate estimation of how well it will work as demos usually don't have all the events and stuff that take away your prosessor resources. So even if the demo might run fast and good it still doesn't gurantee that the full game will.

Sengoku gave full game demo just limited time period hopes are up for the same with CK2

actually in my experience with Victoria 2 the full version ran much smoother than the demo, it was weird.

it was the same with the hoi3 demo. all that a demo will tell you is that you most likely are able to start the game. the rest is uncertain.

Play.com already has it available for preorder, in the UK at least, but I've asked in Game and Gamestation (The 2 biggest game retailers over here) and it isn't on their preorder list yet, and nobody in there seems to have even heard of it.

That's assuming you want a disc of course. If you plan to download it what's the point of preordering anyway? They can't run out of digital copies.

You apparantly missed the new patching stuff they announced Apparantly we get some other bonuses as well, and in either case, I have the money now, might as well spend them
