Jinnai,

That looks like a useful event for the AI, except for one problem. Without a reload, the AI often forgets to appoint anyone to a court position.

If we could clean up the AI's falling asleep issue, that event might just be what the doctor ordered.

Burn the Heretic!
trigger: Courtier is a heretic.
modifiers: Monarch is a Crusader, Fanatical priest, chaste (++ odds)
monarch is sceptical (-- odds), monarch is heretic (no chance to occur)
inquisition tech (++), critical bible interpretation (--)

Effects:
A)
Let the heretic repent or burn!
Trigger (You will join us... or Die!) event for heretic. (gives option to lose heretic/sceptical or die.
     Monarch +50 piety
Monarch -15 prestige (for killing off a court member)
His faith is no issue for us.
     Monarch -50 piety
     Loyalty of heretic +1.0
     10% chance: monarch gains "sceptical"
     3% chance: monarch gains "excommunicated"

I thought of this one after I had a diocese bishop become a heretic and convert half my court... and then the bishop rejoined the light and sort of left the court members out to dry :D

Execute a disloyal courtier or risk having him/her murder the king rather than leaving?

I sense an increase in conflicts within the marriage...

A good one to help cure the Nobleman shortage would be this one:

A Knight distinguishes himself in your service

Bold and daring exploits in this campaign have caused a certain knight in your armies to stand out amoung his peers and made him a rising star in your court.

Trigger: At War
Effect: Creates a courtier similar to the ones created by inviting a sons Knight Mentor to your court

Modifiers: +++Not having a Marshall. Otherwise, I don't know really. Maybe Valorous could increase, but then again a coward would make sure to have valiant knights between him and danger!

Only action: Let me have such men close to me!

I think this is a fairly realistic event, I mean how often did a knight catch his lords eye somehow and wind up a person of importance (either as a Marshall or a lord)

I thought about that, but I think an event like that already exists. I have something similar to it fire during a war.

There really needs to be a way to change someone's name...
I was going to do an event to make one of your random courtiers an heir (by having the same last name), but i can't.
I was also going to do one for your son defying you (which also would be better with a name change so his children can't nessarily inherit because of the above situation, but could possibly be done with bastard trait just for him), but also there is no way to tell where he is on inheritence line as its doubtful he'd go against you if he was 1st in line...

Well, such things also happenned throughout the history. Think of Ivan the Terrible... Maybe have two versions - a casual one that "hunts out" the worst courtiers, and the one for cruel madmen that is utterly unselective.

I think the latter is covered already. this was purely an event to help the AI manage its court better so it would stand a better chance.

I'm talking about "Reign of terror" event...

...It is, but not in such a manner. This way we get mass-purges in large courts, not random precision strikes. Waves of executions for paranoid rulers... Cruel or suspicious coupled with madness, or even with each other should reflect overall paranoia. The number of courtiers should drop significantly, but where one event targets the worst, the other targets random figures.

Peace of God event.

This needs a bit more text to it for those of us that don't know what it is. It doesn't offer any options so there is no hover help, and the event pop up doesn't really clarify what it does in game terms.

A miracle maker offers to heal you

i had this event that heal my King, but i think the cost was not high enought :
I had almost 3000 gold and he took me only 10 gold to be healed. It looks very cheap to me, no? :p

An idea of a very simple and logical, yet currently unimplemented (or so I think) event: if you and/or your wife are heretic, then your child must become one too. Especially true for both parents (should be almost guaranteed). BTW, I have to ask: did anybody see culture spread events as they are implemented in betas happen actually. Though I get lots of religion conversions, I have yet to see culture change. Might be the triggers.

For Jubilee, perhaps an event for the Pope which triggers on every year divisible by 25, giving lots of prestige, piety, and gold?
I finally had an idea for this, but it would either be fairly easy to know when it was coming.

First would be to have it set to happen every 25 or 50 years and during those years have a fairly good chance to have various people with excommunicated status have it removed and/or add piety if you have negative piety.

Anyway some more event ideas:

music_notation_system:
