There are many great ideas around these forums, I wonder which ones will get to be used in the games. If they are were, it would be even better then EU2, and that's something.

I thought about that, but I think an event like that already exists. I have something similar to it fire during a war.Deaghaidh said:A good one to help cure the Nobleman shortage would be this one:
A Knight distinguishes himself in your service
Bold and daring exploits in this campaign have caused a certain knight in your armies to stand out amoung his peers and made him a rising star in your court.
Trigger: At War
Effect: Creates a courtier similar to the ones created by inviting a sons Knight Mentor to your court
Modifiers: +++Not having a Marshall. Otherwise, I don't know really. Maybe Valorous could increase, but then again a coward would make sure to have valiant knights between him and danger!
Only action: Let me have such men close to me!
I think this is a fairly realistic event, I mean how often did a knight catch his lords eye somehow and wind up a person of importance (either as a Marshall or a lord)
Might haveto add to that one that it not be a spouce or ruler_child as well otherwise they could end up with no heirs.Secret Master said:Jinnai,
That looks like a useful event for the AI, except for one problem. Without a reload, the AI often forgets to appoint anyone to a court position.
If we could clean up the AI's falling asleep issue, that event might just be what the doctor ordered.

Yeah, that might be important.Jinnai said:Might haveto add to that one that it not be a spouce or ruler_child as well otherwise they could end up with no heirs.

I think the latter is covered already. this was purely an event to help the AI manage its court better so it would stand a better chance.Walter Hawkwood said:Well, such things also happenned throughout the history. Think of Ivan the Terrible... Maybe have two versions - a casual one that "hunts out" the worst courtiers, and the one for cruel madmen that is utterly unselective.

I finally had an idea for this, but it would either be fairly easy to know when it was coming.Solmyr said:For Jubilee, perhaps an event for the Pope which triggers on every year divisible by 25, giving lots of prestige, piety, and gold?
