Public Beta Patches are great idea indeed.
Now I feel so involed. I've even provide some feedback!

EU2 is so good that it completely ruins the whole gaming industry. Who needs any other game? It surely cannot beat EU2. Well, maybe EU3 could...

I didn't download and test them because I'm getting a new PC and I don't see the point of doing it twice. As soon as I get the new PC they'll be straight on there though.

Public testing is definitely a very good idea. I've been reading this forum for ages but I've just started contributing because I've seen that Paradox do listen to the customers.

I used to think that people who wrote in saying 'this should changed to be like this' were delusional if they thought anybody in a place to change it would listen - but now I do it myself.

So I guess I was either wrong back then or delusional now. Happily, it seems to be the former.

just want to add my voice to the chorus vis-a-vis think the public betas are great & that i appreciate that the paradox team listens to the ideas of the community. (even if he sometimes rules against me. )

I dloaded all the patches and I'm still playing the same game through all the patches. I didn't get any major bugs, except the one about the scenario editor.

Well I'm the lonely person who admits he didn't know how to install them.

Not that I think I would have had much time to test them in any case. Otherwise I would have posted a 'Help, How do I do this' thread.

I didn't test any, because I didn't want to and voted so.

But I think that it is a great idea for late post-release development like this, and had I had more spare time (lots more) I would have gone for them all (I choose you, Patchemon..)

I have downloaded and tested them all. I must say that I am extremely pleased, especially with the enhancements to multiplayer. They have really made it more fun and less time consuming. Kudos to you.

I "voted" for the last option, but I feel a clarification should be added as well:

Even though I didn't download and test any of the patches myself, I *DO* appreciate the process that was used. I simply didn't have enough time on my hands to do any testing... (exams, politics and chaos got in the way)

I'm with Onslaught: I haven't d/l all of them because I don't have much time right now, but I'm looking forward to playing the new improved EUII and certainly do appreciate Johan's efforts.

Downloaded most, didn't "test" but ran 3 or so hands-off to see impact on development paths of majors and colonisation.

Well, I've contributed to a few discussions that have gone into some of the beta changes, but despite this, I have to admit to still only running 1.05. I have had time for EU2 in the last few weeks, but only my current game, which I really need to finish one way or the other.

It appears that several of the original betatesters are too busy or working on other things at the moment, including HoI betas, with the notable exceptions of Derek and Carolus, so getting the forum involved was an excellent idea, and it looks like it's really paid off.

I've not downloaded any of the beta patches. Why? Because I bought EU II just two weeks ago and have been learning how the game works. I decided to play with plain 1.06 and most of the game mechanics are still big mysteries to me

Altough I haven't used the opportunity to download these, I'm big supporter of this kind of patch developing method, especially when the game is over a year old and community is full of players who are able to test and tell if new rules etc. are balanced or not. If I was a EU II vet I'd surely have tested all of these.
