Frankly, there were time issues involved. Had PI been on the project from day 1 far fewer of the release issues would have occured.
naive_wirepuller = inept schemer of some sort
flamboyant_schemer = okay...but obvious
intricate_webweaver = more or less a correct description
illusive_shadow = ditto
amateurish_pettifogger = inept diplomat prone to making blunders
proven_dealbreaker = someone who makes deals (not breaks them) so he's moderately skilled at diplomacy
charismatic_negotiator = more or less correct
grey_eminence = power behind the throne
hole_in_the_pocket = someone prone to fiscal mismanagement
proven_accountant = decent finance guy
fortune_builder = very good finance guy
midas_touched = Bill Gates
misguided_warrior = Don Quixote?

tough_soldier = decent leader but nothing special
knowledged_tactician = good leader/tactician so "knowledgeable" is probably what they were after
brilliant_strategist = Napoleon
detached_priest = reclusive, not particularly adept at inciting religious fervour...somewhat monastic perhaps?
martial_cleric = goes out and smites evil
scholarly_theologian = your stay-at-home smite-evil-with-a-quill or word type
mastermind_theologian = Augustus? Clementine?
