well, allowing us to pick the file to save to, rather than creating a new file every time would help alot.

It seems silly to create a new file every time you save, instead of being able to reuse old file slots. I don't remember this being a problem in the shadowrun games, so I am puzzled why it suddenly is an issue here.

And they certainly aren't helping with the almost hidden savefiles wher eyou really need to know where they are to be able to find them.

So for the non-observant and basically lazy. How do you turn off steam-cloud saves for Btech? I went in and moved a ton of files over to another directory and steam went and redownloaded them all the next time I started Btech up. I'm asking for myself but also so we can have the answer for the community in general.

Edit - Right click on the Battletech game in your library, select Properties. Select the Updates tab and untick the Enable Steam Cloud Syncronization at the bottom. That should prevent steam from redownloading the moved/deleted saves.

I went through the annoyance of just deleting them from the load screen and it work ed for me. I also now have a notepad to record saves I want to keep for whatever reason. as solutions go, it counts as one, just not a convenient one.

The ability to overwrite existing saves, name saves, etc, would make a huge difference both on holding off this bug while it's being worked on, and in terms of basic video game QOL design.
