PSA: Mods/Assets Are Currently Not Working [Update: yes, they are]

Everyone seems to have the same issues. Mods/Assets are not loaded in the game at all, rendering it pretty much unplayable at the moment. What the heck is going on?

i think it's to do with the latest steam update. i've just reinstalled steam. fingers crossed...

Restarting steam does the trick
