I don't know if it's a known bug or if it is not, however I think it's something people should know, I have found that if you ever set one foot on Ulthuan as an high elf colonist, every colonial building in your holdings will automatically get deleted as you will no longer fill the requirement to have them which is that your character MUST physically not be present on Ulthuan. That means that if you want to use any colonial building, you are effectively banned from ever setting foot on Ulthuan.

This also means that you can cheese the game by conquering any holding not in Ulthuan to unlock colonial buildings for every of your holdings, even if they actually ARE in Ulthuan, if you are feeling particularly gamey, you can even buy an escort and exile yourself far from Ulthuan to gain access to the building without ever even conquering anything outside of the region.

I am not really sure how you can fix that, but I think a hotfix would be that the buildings should be tied to the capital location instead of the character location which would at the very least stop the ban on high elven colonists on Ulthuan.


Thanks everyone in the team for the new release, I haven't been able to play the mod for a very long time and I am glad to see people are still working hard to permit the community to have a great warhammer experience !

PS : If you think a new thread is too much, feel free to move it to the bug forum, as I made this post to raise awareness on the issue as it costed me some hundreds of coins.

this piece of code seems to be the offender, except I'm pretty sure it shouldn't remove the buildings when you enter ulthuan beacuse it should be checking for province location not characters location.
Simplest way around it is to just make a small event\targeted decision (ai must use it, costs nothing) that adds an "asur colony" modifier which allows these buildings.
Edit: confirmed that this is without a doubt a bug, by starting a game as bel-hathor loading him on a ship and ordering the ship to the sea (day one haven't even unpaused for the first time) and colonial buildings appeared (not constructed of course) in mainland ulthuan. switched commander, buildings disappeared
