[PS4] How to select difficulty level?

I can't find option to lower the difficulty level... I would like to play the co-op game with my girlfriend but she's not much into games at all. We tried to play together, loved the tutorial a lot but immediately after we left the village she dies too often making the game frustrating. I thought it's just simple: let's restart the game with lowest difficulty level... but hey, where's that option in menus? Thanks in advance.

I have the PS4 version of the game.

Assuming the menus are the same as PC, you're forced to choose between Normal, Hard, and Bananas before playing. Instead of Continue, try going to Adventure and choosing Chapter 1 again
