my absolutism was too low, but the coring cost was not a problem actually. the problem was not getting enough land with imperialism CB. i could take only very few provinces before reaching 100% warscore (imo). but i have to be honest, i am not too familiar yet with absolutism and admin efficiency.
i got in a regency council at around 1810, i was able to declare war in 1818 instead. couldn't core them all, i've had to break truces and use my admin points. i'm not sure i would have made it even without the regency though.
i'm thinking maybe i lost a lot of time taking provinces of not co-belligerent provinces. i used it to declare on yarkand(tributary) and bahmanis (ally) of ming, so i'd declare on persia and other countries to get them in.
but in the end i didn't expand soon enough, west africa and cape were all colonized when i arrived near newfoundland (who was already huge) - i had not planned on trying master of india when i started. the game was fun, but missing out on 10 year suckssssss
