And it's even more interesting that there looks to be much more of a balance of power than I usually see by this stage in the game... Is that just me, or does anyone else find that the 17th century sees several nations horribly butchered and a clear superpower emerge?
Incidentally, what is it with spanish enclaves? I haven't yet seen them expand on their own borders into france or portugal, but my current game sees them holding a rag-tag bunch of provinces-:
Eastern Pomerania
Hainault, Artois and Luxembourg
Franche-Comte
Milan and the Tyrol
Albania
Smyrna and anatolia
Naples etc, of course...
All a bit scattered and vulnerable.
