The -50% gov cap nerf was because Prussia is literally overpowered with its high discipline and army modifiers. Think of it as the Ottomans but with -50% gov cap.

Speaking of Prussia, I'd like to see it be more common. I never see it form because the TO never survives to keep Konigsberg and Danzig after being crushed by PLC. Perhaps an event after the order is crushed is to establish a Duchy of Prussia as a march of Poland. If Brandenburg and Prussia become Protestant, then they can form a union, like in real life.
Habshi gets an event, kalmyk is a unicorn but can form, so i think prussia being event march once danzig is integrated by poland would be fine, that or make danzig only ever take western prussian provinces, and remake treaty of thorin to give east prussia back to teutons along with the Polish culture provinces which go from danzig to poland

No wonder the 'A Fine Goosestep" achievement is one of the hardest; Prussia never forms

Edit: Got the achievement mixed up with "The Pheasants Strut". No wonder I got confused because they both involve Prussia (AFG is for 135% discipline iirc, TFS is having Prussia as a subject while you are Nepal).

i've been having fun theorycrafting a maximally vicious Nepal for fun at work. Current thought is start as Kham, form Tibet, become Theocracy, form Nepal as a Vaj Theocracy. I hate playing as buddhist in the past, maybe with stacking missionaries and monuments the karma isn't annoying anymore.

Vaj Buddhism = +5% moral +5% disc
Sohei Monks gov reform= 5% disc 5% combat ability
Combat heresy gov reform= 10% morale
External Mission = 10% manpower recovery
One State Under God = 30% warscore versus other nations.
Nepal= 10% manpower recovery, +25 % land limit, 15% manpower, 0.5 tradition, 10% morale, 10% infantry combat ability, +1 siege, 5% disc
and thats before fiddling around with ideas.

It might be easier to just play normal hindu nepalese kingdom, but the new rajput mechanics stink compared to the pre-estate rework of them, seems hard to get htem to be a high % of your troops. Even tanking your crownland it'd be hard to get >35% rajputs.

Reading the actual requirements for the achievement looks like you need to start as gorka, so you'd have to go gorka--> tibet --> nepal, which is kind of annoying.

It's not that hard to force this achievement if you really want and there is at least one protestant nation. You can vassalize this nation, conquer Brandenburg, give the land to subject and convert to protestant, integrate subject. Release Brandenburgs as protestant vassal, conquer land needed for Prussia. Let them form Prussia and declare war on your vassal. Fighting your vassal is stupid but it will allow achievement

Why do you have to massively sabotage yourself to go with "Prussian Monarchy"? It wrecks your governing capacity for very minor gains so why would you pick it in the first place and how to you get the GC back without unstating most of your nation?

You can also centralize state in your bigger states. Expand admin gives +20 the first time around, which is only +10 for Prussia I believe. Anyone confirm this? Whereas Centralize State gives -%25 to the state's GC. So, two hits from EA will get you +20gc at a cost of 42 reform ports, whereas for 50 admin/50 reform points you can get, oh, -20gc in east prussia. Centralize takes 5 years, so may want to invest in it at tech 9. A courthouse is -25%, state capital -25%, courthouse upgrade another -25%. So with centralize state it should be almost zero eventually - I believe there is a hard floor.

Also remember your capital state has almost no gc cost.

Just something to think about.

I've never actually used centralize state, so if I'm wrong, please correct me.
