Hello guys!

I've read in the 1.19.2 Patchnote comments, that the Prussian government is currently bugged.

My simple question is: Is Prussia really bugged? (couldn't find anything in the Bug forum, I skimmed through the first pages)

Because if it is, I will put my current campaign on hold. That could save me some frustration.

Thanks for your help.

If you lose the government form due to the nobility uprising, even after curtailing them you won't get the Prussian government form back.
It looks like it isn't important enough to be fixed since 1.18.

I haven't played Brandenburg since then.

The bug is that noble estate disaster from cossacks can remove it. It was reported after bug freeze for 1.19 and not important enough to go into hotfixes.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess I will wait then.

Feel free to let this threat die.
Letting the nobles take power in your country is a MAJOR problem anyway. Just prevent them from doing so and you will be fine. You wouldn't want them to ever to this even without the bug.

I got it after receiving 2 consecutives Nobles Advancement events, pushing it's influence to 90% and revoking provinces had 0% decrease to it. So yeah... It can happen, and you can't prevent it.

Nobles Advancement takes a +10 to influence. Therefore you already had 70% influence for nobles, that is huge!

What has that got to do with the bug? Playing Brandenburg you already start with high nobility influence.
If the bug doesn't allow you to play optimally the estates game, it looks like a major bug to me. Pdx, doesn't think so. Oh well...

Honestly? Nobles always want at least 10% (15% for Feudal but I guess this does not apply to Prussia?) provinces to be happy. Having them at 0% is already deep crisis mode. And after being in crisis mode you claim to have gotten nobles advancement twice? You do realize those events only happen every 5 (?) years. What you describe makes zero sense.

If they did have provinces and revoking didn't reduce the influence, this simply means you were beyond the maximum influence from provinces. You could still have revoked all of them (and cope with the rebels) which would have given them -40% influence!

I revoked all of them. Influence remained steady at 90%.
The advancement of nobles event happened in consecutive years. (didn't know it could happen only every 5 years. It's another bug?)

Interesting. If that actually happened, that is certainly a huge bug. Revoking the last province of an estate should ALWAYS change the influence (unless it is already 100% or 0% which is also almost impossible). Should you ever have something like this again, please make a bug report with screenshots and save games.

And yes. All estate events are triggered only. And I thought it was a 5 years trigger. But so far I never understood how to determine the trigger time from the game files for such events. Anyway, certainly no MTTH.

Are you sure it was the advancement event twice? As others have said, it SHOULD be impossible to get it twice within the span of two years (since you get a flag for the event and you shouldn't get the same event if you still have the flag).

There ARE multiple events that can dish out influence to different estates based on choices. Maybe one event was the Land Theft event?

I checked the wiki, and if it's up to date, you can only get the event if you're not under the flag of a previous same event. So, it must have been a bug that should i get it again, i'll certaintly report.

There ARE multiple events that can dish out influence to different estates based on choices. Maybe one event was the Land Theft event?
That's indeed true. You cannot get that event again as long as it is active already. And all other events give you a choice (however bad it may be). But yeah, you could get another event letting them get influence thinking that's still alright and then nobles advancement killing you without choice. But, if revoking provinces works correctly, this should only ever lead to rebellions, not them sieging power if you play it right.

From what i recall, it was the same event in consecutive years. The only effect it had was increase nobility's influence by 10. The land theft event has a lot more outcomes.

What has that got to do with the bug? Playing Brandenburg you already start with high nobility influence.
If the bug doesn't allow you to play optimally the estates game, it looks like a major bug to me. Pdx, doesn't think so. Oh well...

A bug is a bug, obviously, and should be fixed asap.
This bug is triggered by a Disaster, and the disaster itself is - as a matter of fact - somewhat easily avoidable.
You said that "It can happen, and you can't prevent it.!" and I just pointed out that such events cannot be predicted but can be prevented , just keeping estate influence lower .

You can't prevent events unless you play the game to just focus in keeping the estates' influence low.
