hii

i have two questions, i found no answer so far in the forums.

1st: how to get ur allies the provinces in peace deals?
the provinces they conquered arnt listed.....

2nd: why do provinces randomly change owner/occupant after a peace deal is concluded?( even if the peace touches neither the occupant, nor the owner)
r there rules for this province jumping?

1. It isn't possible as of yet, but i'm hoping it'll be fixed in 1.03

2. Mostly i think its any province that has partisans in it (or maybe any enemy troops) will revert to the owners control whenever any country annexes any other country and whenever a country involved in the war you are in makes peace with any other country (i'm not entirely sure about this one, but it seems to account for what i've seen.). Also if your troops enter a province from a province controled by another country you will capture that province for the country that owns the province your unit originated in (provided that country is also at war with your enemy) and it seems the AI's troops always steal control of a province from the player, again this is just from what i've seen. There are two ways to attempt to neutralize this to some extent, one is to have enough units to cover almost every province so that partisans are defeated as quickly as possible. The other thing you can do is to stay out of alliances you don't really need. Hopefully this too will be fixed in 1.03.

sorry i couldn't help more :)

hmm no provinces for allies? how could they "forget" about that?
this is one of the things they included [sometimes afterwards] in EU, but r missing in vicky... i wonder why.
(like the WE=0 when peace is concluded, instead of slow degrading. this was SUCH an improvement of gameplay in EU!)

thanks for the answers.

another question, is it possible to de-assign leaders?
im not able to do it....
i always have to replace one leader with another to free one...

btw. after playing several, mostly small nations i find france in my last game rediculous easy. u have endless ressources (nearly...), tons of clerks and craftsmen, and i even got some machine parts of the WM in the first decade!

yeah :D high prestige helps with buying machine parts a LOT, i mostly like France though because its the only country (nearly i like Russia too) that has a starting possition that i like (and by that i mean geographically, i don't like being surrounded and to tell you the truth i don't like the shape of the US or something .. it just bugs me to play them) ... and its not so easy if you play the entire game with the goal of crushing the UK, its 1890 now and i'm still nervous (and still broke :D, although my army is almost the size of the UK's :O .. at a loss of edjucation and crime fighting unfortunatly) ... but i digress.

IIRC it is not possible to simply de-assign a leader as such, you can however merge the army with another one .. one leader will be without a command, then you can switch the current one with the one that was 'de-assigned' to make sure you got the right one, then seperate the unit and there you go. Its a giant pain but it does the trick.

The AI can do it so the function is in. I guess there is just an interface issue where they are not showing up on the peace screen.

If a country´s provinces are occupied by foreign countries (doesn´t matter who or how many different countries that are), but are currently being besieged by someone with the aim to return the control of the province to the owner (that is: allies, partisans and normal troops)
then the occupation level reaches 100% suddenly if:
- any country declares war or colonial war towards the country that owns the provinces.
- any country signs a peace with the country that owns the provinces (it does not matter to whom they are allied or if it is a separate peace or alliance-wide peace; the country that owns the provinces just has to sign a peace)
- any country declines (!) a peace-proposal that is made by the country that owns the provinces

This bug is so annoying it ain´t funny anymore. I was attacking egypt as netherlands and had beaten them totally. There were only like 3 - 5 provinces left under their control (the others being besieged by irregular partisan units, occupation levels between 0 and 10 percent (irregulars besiege ridiculously slow)) and then BAM Turkey declares colonial war on egypt.
half of their provinces free again, but okay their regular force was destroyed so it shouldn´t be too hard to recapture the stuff,
so one year later I had all egyptian provinces except 3 (one under turkish control, the other 2 still egyptian) and guess what? BAM Turkey signs a white peace with egypt, the partisans win everywhere.
One and a half year later I finally was able to annex them (in the meantime I would have needed the army to defend against France, that attacked me along with belgium, but I got a lucky white peace after taking brussel.).
