Instead of sieging a province, why not change the siege progress to occupation progress. Because right now its pretty ahistorical to have sieges taking that long, it would make more sense if you are trying to occupy a province instead of sieging a single area.

Also, would it make more sense to change "battle" to "campaign". For example, its currently "Battle of Albania" but I would like to change it to "Albanian Campaign". This is because the battles take ahistorically long in this game, most battles in history take less than 1 day, so it would make more sense to me to rename it campaign.

Yeah I've always found the naming of those things to be odd. Right now I'm playing as Jianzhou and I'm invading Yeren. A province with a name that has slipped my memory is about the size of Sri Lanka and has access to the pacific (no blockade in effect) yet I'm sieging it.

Honestly the system in which you conquer provinces could be changed from the ground up. Making it feel more like how provinces are usually conquered in real life as well as to make it feel like your soldiers are actually fighting a war as opposed to bumming around enemy territory while the enemy slowly falls into chaos, but that's a suggestion for another day.

I don't know what to rename either event, but "occupation progress" is a horrible name. It makes it sound like the province is pretty much in your grip, but not quite. A simple beat down from enemy reinforcements will destroy your chances of occupying the province in the immediate future whereas enemy forces trying to recapture the province will have to siege it like any invading force in EUIV.
