Something that came to my mind with reading Sytass' AAR.
In HOI, when you attack a province from an allies territory, that ally gains control of the province. Will things work the same way in Victoria? If Germany attacks Serbia through A-H, does A-H gain control of the german-conquered serbian provinces? Or does it work like EU, "takers-keepers"? It's the latter, right?
Well, as it was already said, the system works a bit different. You enter a province, but it doesn't automatically change color. You have to "restore order" in the province. You have to let a portion of your army sit there in order to take control of the province. So, if German troops stay in any given Balkan province for a long time, they will install their own order there, not A-H's. So, I guess they will take it. I wonder what happens, if a division of A-H's army also stays in the same province and helps with the restoring of order. Maybe Patric would care to elaborate?
On the other hand, once the province is under your control, only you can take over this province completely in a peace treaty. take a look at the
Diario de Mexico AAR, where the player makes peace with the Sokotans. In the portion of the box, where provincial demands can be made, there is still a column, which says who owns the province, just like EU2. But, you can always make a seperate deal with A-H later and trade in these provinces for money or maybe for free. I wonde, if the AI would consider such an agreement.
