It was indeed an oversight (mine).
Seazones where pushed around a fair bit to make room for the RNW so if you have problems the best way to approach it is probably to make sure your seazone borders around the Azores, Iceland, etc match the new vanilla ones (the map mod you are using is likely based on the old ocean borders).
