Proud kyoto and friends with 1345
Will tremble when an eagle soars
Infamy, then blood at 36 degrees
Cries, and tears, fire, blood and battle.
April 9, 1945: Germany has overcome the whole world, almost. Her 1345 divisions stand proud in Europe, South America, Africa and the Near East.
A stuttering, new General struggles to organise his Armies and Fleets as more and more blood is spilt unecessarily in a strange Far Eastern land.
His available Forces: 3 Army Groups, 7 Armies, 20 Corps, 51 Divisions, 18 Fleets and 21 air squadrons.
A 3rd attempt brings the USA the islands of Nala, Iwo Jima, Saipan, Guam and Eniwetok.
By the 5th clear attempt, the decision is made to Withdraw, leaving only a rump few divisions. Nothing is working so far, despite strenous efforts by our general. He resolves to re-invade Japan with those very same Armies that he has withdrawn and whose lives he has wasted. He begins to build new divisions of Marines to bolster his Forces.
A 5th attempt, this time to invade Japan through Nagoya, again brings defeat as, again supplies are few and far between.
Attempt 6, with more and improved Forces: 2 Army Groups, 5 Armies, 18 Corps, 23 Divisions, 4 Fleets, 9 Squadrons. New 5th and 15th Marine Armies consisting of 5 Corps, each with 10 divisions of 15,000 men.
Invade Nagasaki and Ohbiro provinces, Failure. But the island of Toyohara falls into the hands of the US easily. For the first time in the War, Russian and American soldiers meet. The common camarderie of soldiers, defies the growing animosity of their respective leaderships.
Invade Nagasaki and Osaka provinces, failure.
Lack of Supply is the overbearing feature of the continuous failure to progress.
Finally on attempt 8, sufficient experience has been gained for our General to put forward a plan of action that brings the eventual final demise of this ancient, far eastern empire of the sun.
Intelligence has ascertained that the province of Onomichi holds enough Supply for his invading forces needs and beyond. A 2nd, simultaneous invasion is planned for the province of Tsuruga, next to the port province of Osaka.
The Plan is to try to split Japan in two, and my doing so, separate the armies in the South, and cause them to be Out of Supply from Tokyo, the Japanese capital.
Invasions begin.
For the first time in weeks, all is going well. Tokyo's lack of enemy forces, beckons a 3rd invasion, and again success follows.
With few enemy forces in the Japanese north, the rejuvenated US forces head to conquer these lands and the island to the north.
A growing stalemate dawns in Japan, as the invaders meet with a growing stiff resistance from their Japanese foes.
A 4th invasion, this time at Wajima bolsters the flailing US armies. Capturing the Japanese High Command briefly causes collapse in the enemy and more land is quickly taken.
...................................
Hail the Japanese Heroes of Takamatsu!
Throughout the whole campaign they have held out to the American invaders. They alone, must have cost up to 50,000 US lives. The Americans salute their brave enemies and respect them for their fortitude and tenacity in battle.
...................................
Lack of Supply is now causing the Japanese armies the same trouble it caused the Americans earlier in the war.
Strangely, Japan finally falls at 2200 hours on December 7th 1945. All Hail the Chief!

UPDATE: Many many weeks later, I've finished the game. This is what happened...
Some efforts were made in carrying on the War in Asia. Attacks were made on Korea, Taiwan and China. But the lack of supply and the overwhelming strength (still) of the Japanese armies in Mankuko, enforced the American High Command to think again...
To recap, Germany still owns the World. Although her ally Japan is now severely damaged, she carries on as normal. The USA, alone in the World prepares to take the War to mainland Europe.
If in real life, War was only a movie.. then Eisenhower would have prepared this armies for battle, ensued battle, when things didn't quite work out as he expected, he called "Stop", back to your positions and start again.... A few efforts at invading Europe...
IRELAND is freed and becomes a "Nation Once Again..".. Didn't last as Germany re-invaded.
The intention was to draw the Axis armies out of their slumber from Eastern Europe, Asia Minor and India to do battle in Spain, and if successful, possibly to shut the door behind them, by invading France...
Lack of Supply and the Axis armies being very strong proved another idea was needed... The Americans needed to put pressure on the German supply system... To head as fast as possible for Berlin.. But the Americans couldn't (for some reason?) simply invade the Baltic.. They had to land nearby...
Excellent progress is made. The American armies, previously blooded on the Japanese mainland, now face the might of the German armies on German soil.
WEEKS of toil follow as the American armies battle the Germans, who are aided by Romanians, Hungarians, Ethiopians, Saudi's, Italians.. Enemy armies come from deepest India to Europe to fight the armies of the Free World.
New Theatres are created for better organisation. Green Sweden Theatre, Yellow European Theatre, Light Brown Southern European Theatre.
With the development of V2 rockets in 1947, the Americans also develop a nuclear bomb. As the Germans were also deveoping this weapon, it became a race to see who could succeed first.
During the battle for Sicily, the Americans, having already conquered the Italian mainland and taken Rome, decided to try and see what effects a single nuclear bomb would have on the obstinate people of Palermo...
Late 1947, the War is nearing its end. The Americans, having dawdled on the Russian frontier, hoping the Russians would come and take back their homeland, are disappointed as the Russians remain quiet in the vastness of the Eastern Steppes.
The German supply system has been severely damaged. The German defenders of Moscow display their strength...
GERMANY SURRENDERS with the fall of Moscow.
ITALY SUCCUMBS FINALLY... a government in exile...
The tables are turned, literally...
The Americans (in Blue) show the extent of their conquest. Berlin, Rome and finally Moscow have fallen. Germany has surrendered. Italy is a government in exile.
With the capitulation of the Germans, the War is finally over and a new Map of Europe is created.
The Red line shows the Limit of Advance of the American victors, yet Germany somehow lives on...
