I've had the prosperity change from mediocre to bustling and then to another type in The Same Day. Is this a bug? Happens often. And is annoying because have to go into change liquor type being developed twice before my gang gets a block away..

I'm having a bit of a head scratch over liquor types. I've upgraded a brewery to level 3 but it says it's only producing swill and I haven't the foggiest how to rectify it. I assumed it would automatically upgrade the liquor type. If not, I can't see what other action I'm supposed to take.

You need to change the consumed and produced liquor type both in the alcohol screen, tabs production and consommation.

Btw I have the opposite issue, few weeks/months passed in my game without any change.

I too am seeing pretty frequent prosperity changes. I'm still learning how to play this. Combat is the easy part, getting the empire together is another matter entirely. It is not a simple game despite what some reviewers seem to think, IMO.

People are leaving negative reviews on Steam having played for less than two hours. I’ve played for over six and still learning it so no idea how other opinions are formed so rapidly.

Le persone lasciano recensioni negative su Steam dopo aver giocato per meno di due ore. Ho suonato per più di sei anni e ancora lo sto imparando, quindi non ho idea di come altre opinioni si formino così rapidamente.
[/CITAZIONE]
Reality must be accepted boss. Reviews on steam and beyond are 50% negative, does this mean that everyone has played the game for 2 hours? I do not believe.

The game has some gaps and shortcomings, it is obvious, and I don't think people criticize without reason, at least not all of them.

Voice of the people voice of God.

Steam handily informs you of time in game when the review was written which you can check yourself. That aside, the game was only released 16 hours ago.

boss, I paid for the game, and I want to play it quietly right away. I don't have to wait for patches and more patches here and there. The product is simply broken at launch. Not a bad game but just broken. And as if you go to a shop to get an object, you pay for it, you go home, open it and it's broken .... what do you do? you complain. it's a normal reaction after paying. If you want to defend the product that's fine, but the reality is that the game launched as if we were beta testers.

I give him and we trust him and time, but I don't think that this policy will go very far, many will ask for a refund.

I haven’t said the criticisms are invalid though so that’s a bit of a straw man argument. I expressed surprise as to how quickly some were able to form their views versus my own experience which is I’m still learning the systems six hours in.

boss, I played it yesterday at 6pm, until 3am. After 5 hours I didn't see anything new, the mechanics were always the same, I don't think there is so much new material to discover going forward. I understood the mechanics of liqueurs, how to increase quality, and this was repeated, I closed them because I lost the stimulus. But I haven't asked for a refund, I don't find it correct. I was simply a little disappointed.

Fair critique and perhaps I’ll draw similar conclusions after I’ve spent more time with it.
Not sure how my earlier comment about Steam reviews somehow referred to you particularly, especially given you’ve spent nine hours playing it, not less than two, and I’ve no idea if you’ve reviewed it or not. The mind boggles.

Noticed the same and reported it as a bug. The message implies it should only be changing once per month.

Super majority of reviews are either A) Two hours or less meaning they couldn't even be bothered to learn the game or B) Five hours or less which I guess means they tried it but never really gave it a chance. Game isn't blow my mind but it is fun and exactly what I thought it would be. So long as you don't exploit the AI or mechanics super cheesy you can have a somewhat challenging fun ride. Kinda easy on 2nd hardest difficulty so far though.

Prosperity has changed a bunch for me at the start though. I think that is an aspect of all factions expanding and building at once though. I expect it to stabilize after expansion phase then move dynamically with events.

For whoever searches for alcohol stuff later and finds this thread. You change alcohol produced per brewery in production tab. You change alcohol served per region in another tab as well.

Man. 70% of the negative reviews on Steam make it clear user error and lack of following tutorials are game breaking bugs and design flaws ha.
I mean some of the criticism is fair. I am on my 3rd new game due to game breaking bugs. But other things, like asking how to change liquor was literally in the tutorial :)

I mean some of the criticism is fair. I am on my 3rd new game due to game breaking bugs. But other things, like asking how to change liquor was literally in the tutorial :)

To be fair, I have enough gaming experience to usually ignore tutorials or just briefly take a look. Nothing wrong with self discovery. But then it relies on the UI following conventions or at least being intuitive.
BTW it wasn’t ‘criticism’, I merely said it left me scratching my head.

Nah you right. The UI is......elusive at times. At least the tutorial covers it though. Now if I can just get my one character to stop being animation frozen.

The UI for drinks especially is really, really bad and annoying. Even when you DO know how to use it it is IMHO hard to use. At the very least I'd like a tooltip that can tell me what I am producing rather than trying to play guess the tiny icon.

I'm also not really loving the whole "match the booze" mini game. It just seems pointless and shallow to me. First off, who ever heard of a bar only serving a single type of drink? Why not just let us sell whatever we produce, and the high quality products bring in more money? The whole matching each month thing so like pointless micro busy work.
