Prospects for a Trade Union

The game rules include the activity of umbrella trade unions. I fancy to play as a union leader, but before (participating in) writing a manifesto, I'd prefer we (you and I, if you're interested) to resolve one problem :
While there are 3 preset Labour organizations, I'd like the Eutopian workers to manage to unite in ONE Labour organization (I think that this is not against the game rules to fulfill this purpose).
However, we must choose among the preset orgs : ECL, AML or OCTU. The Eutopian Congress of Labour (ECL) seems the more open to every workers, contrarly to "the Association of Managerial Labour (AML) for the higher echelons, and the Organization of Catholic Trade Unions (OCTU) which is especially popular in the predominantly Latin provinces." (see the game settings)

Is anyone interested? and willing to comment?

I would like a union leader to negotiate with, as I'm going to set myself up as a Latin industry tycoon. I figure that you're best off with the ECL, and if you're looking for members you should advertise the potential power of the union and recruit from the RDs.

can a GM tell me if the rules are the same for lobbies as for parties? (eg when someone claims to be mayor or whatever)
If I claim that the ECL is a powerful union that gathers huge masses while I am alone as a player, am I breaking the rules?

Speaking as a non-GM : sorry if I misunderstood your question, but I take it you're asking specifically about leadership appointments? At this point, leaders of the three preset trade unions will have to be confirmed by the GM, but anybody who's interested can apply for the job. Same as the military, basically.

You can claim anything you like (provided the GM don't object), but it'll basically count as propaganda, not necessarily as an accurate description of facts (think Flandistan) - at least until the GM say otherwise.

It's just "Rally for Democracy," actually - no "party" in the name.
