Seems like information on how to use some mods is non-existant and that seems true for prop snapping. I have it and its prerequisites installed but I cannot get it to do anything or even understand how to know if it is active or not. I have prop anarchy installed and can turn it on and off. Can someone tell me how to enable (I don't mean in content manager as it is enabled) or get it to do something? TIA.

If the mod is enabled it's doing its thing. Then with Prop Anarchy on in game you can now place props on buildings. Instead of stay on the ground they will follow the side of the building or the roof. Note that props that conform to the terrain (like hedges and fences might do) can't do this.

If the mod isn't working, then restart the game and make sure it's enabled. Then test again to see. If it still isn't working, you might have a broken mod, that messes with Prop Snapping. Check this list against your mods and remove/replace any broken mods you might have.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I've tried all those things and no joy. If the mod is broken then it must be broken for all those that subscribed to it which I highly doubt. I just don't know where to go from here. These are the mods I have enabled:

TM: PE
Harmony
Network Extensions 2
Prop & Tree Anarchy
Prop Snapping

I disabled all but the 2 prop mods (although I think Harmony is a prereq) but still could not get it to work.

I think @Avanya meant that you could have another mod that is broken, and that that one is interfering with Prop Snapping.

Except I turned off all unnecessary mods. In any case all the mods were subscribed so I assume they are all stable.

No guarantees.

Also, mods that are subscribed but not enabled can apparently still have an impact.

Check the List of broken and incompatible mods link in Avanya's signature above.

The initial purpose was to use Pedestrian overpass _ korea _ yunseul for pedestrian bridges. The bridge segments always stay at ground level. To test prop snapping I tried using trees. No, they do not follow the mouse onto roofs. Instead I get the red occupied icon.

I thought because a mod was titled prop and tree anarchy, trees would work. I didn't think to try anything else (Doh!). Anyway, that did work so prop snapping is not the problem. Unfortunately that brings me back to my original problem (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/small-pedestrian-tunnel.1451356/). However since that problem changed from tunnels to bridges I'll start a new thread. Thanks for your patience and help.

Just for clarity for you or anyone else reading this. Prop & Tree Anarchy is the mod that lets you place props and trees on/inside buildings or on roads. Prop Snapping and Tree Snapping let you elevate props and trees, which will let you place them on the roof of buildings. Without the Snapping mods the props and trees will be placed on the ground inside the building. :)
