##### About Project Dasmariñas #####
As the Philippine Cities series continue to feature cities in the Philippines since 2016, it's time for my hometown in real-life to be recreated into Cities: Skylines. We're going to view each part I build, the city of Dasmariñas in Cavite. It has a real-life population of 659,000 people as of 2015 (but don't expect it to reach that high in-game, as the game's population count is unrealistic). Due to being my hometown, I wanted it to be more detailed compared to my previous cities that I built. For this city journal, I have finally bought Parklife and Industries DLC so I can build more detailed modular parks and industrial areas even though I use the Ploppable RICO mod already, I am hoping that my game can still run with these new DLCs, without it crashing or memory errors during gameplay.
I will plan on releasing the finished savefile here, also daily updates featuring videos and screenshots, are posted below this post.
Anyone supporting this series, feel free to comment below for me to receive feedback from people, or leave suggestions on what should I do next.
The city journal begins by posting some quick facts about the city of Dasmariñas in real-life:
The location of the city in Cavite, also showing its boundaries with other surronding cities.
A typical view of Dasmariñas, showing the powerlines as the only tall structures in the city.
Dasmariñas was named after Gómez Pérez Dasmariñas, the 7th Spanish governor-general of the Philippines who served from 1590 to 1593. Pérez Dasmariñas came from San Miguel das Negradas, Viveiro, Galicia, Spain.
