One of the reasons I'm (im)patiently waiting for 3.0.7.Good thing 3.0.7 fixes that decision so one can actually restore the empire![]()
I think you just got lucky on conversions. They normally take a while.First impressions after my first Project Balance Game : As the name says, the game is much more balancedStarted with Emirate of Derbent on VH, DOW and vassalize sheikh of Dwin. Then, I miserably pledged allegeance (?) to Alp Arslan ans start to make it crumble from the inside.
Kingdoms growth is much more historically accurate/plausible. War requirements (is war possible ?) is a good idea too. OTOH, province religious conversion shoud be clearly tweak since it only took me 2 years or 3 to convert Dwin to sunni (great but unrealistic IMO). And finally, I don't like the muslims/pagans CoA, I would have keep the vanilla system which looks like more clear to me.
Keep improving that way![]()
Valid concerns, of course. I did mention in another thread a few weeks back the idea of replacing e_hre with k_germany once Rome is formed, but I don't know how to code that. If you know how, let me know and I'll try it.@ Sleight of Hand...

Project Balance is my favorite mod because it doesn't change the base game too much, but it fixes a lot of the balance issues.![]()
3.0.7 will come later today.Meneth how soon could we have the 3.07 update??? I don't want to continue my current game if I will start a new one soon...
Thanks...
That's great...Thank you...3.0.7 will come later today.
Oh and the changelog so far:
- Characters of North Germanic, Altaic, Arabic, and Iranian cultures now dislike people of other cultures 40% less (E.G., foreigner penalty against different culture groups is 12 instead of 20)
- Shia Islam is now a heresy of Sunni Islam
- The Coptic Pope now holds the Bishopric of Alexandria
- Fixed the county of Sarqihya not being Miaphysite
- Fixed the Jewish religion having the wrong icon
- Made almost all of the Shia Fatimid provinces Sunni
- Harald Hardråde's claim on England is now weak
- To change succession law one must have sufficient prestige. Counts need 100, dukes 250, kings 500, and emperors 1000
- Fixed it being impossible to restore the Roman Empire
- Fixed the county of Aprutium appearing to belong to Apulia before starting the campaign
- The Scheme mission will now properly coerce characters to join your faction (previously it was not possible to get anyone who was in any faction to join)
- Imperial Reconquest can now be used against Muslims
- The Byzantine Empire can now use Imperial Reconquest again, but with strict requirements. The requirements can be seen in-game through the "Is War Possible?" decision
- Project Balance's introduction event now triggers on day 1 rather than day 2. This also means that the religion setup is correct from day 1
- Counts will now no longer start Independence factions unless their liege is a duke. They can still join it
- The coastal republic CB can no longer be used against Muslims
- Fixed a potential cause of CTDs (duplicate province history)

Also, I'm not sure what the implications of such a move would be if k_germany already existed, but personally I do very much like the idea of the Emperor being relegated to the king of Germany if a proper Roman Emperor exists. It would mean he could keep his duke-tier vassals in Italy and Germany, but any king vassals he had (Bohemia, Lotharingia...) would be free to walk their own path.
That's my ideal scenario, but as I say, I have no idea how to do that, assuming it is possible.
Following your discussion, I've coded another change for 3.0.7:
When the Roman Empire is reformed, the Holy Roman Empire becomes the German Realm instead. It is still empire-level, but its rulers will be called Kings
3.0.7 released!
Should be save-game compatible. Certain changes will only affect new campaigns.
If you encounter any issues or have any feedback, please report it in this thread.

I think it's because you've made a great mod. For me, going back to vanilla the first day of 1.07 was pretty painful. I especially missed your crown law changes.Interesting little tidbit:
In the 6 days between 3.0.6 and .7, 167 posts were made in this thread. I do not believe this thread has ever seen a similar number of posts in such a short time-span.
The mod was also downloaded approximately 400 times in the same time-span.
Lucky people with free time to play games...Thank god I have free time tonight...Thanks Meneth...
