I will certainly playtest the living soul out of this. I love the concept of the adjusted faction system.

Some possible&impossible suggestions:
-Faction provides the liege additional levies, but asks for lands conquered in holy wars to be distributed among its members.
-Faction provides the liege with additional levies, but expects him to press their claims on titles.
-Factions against a particularly powerful vassal within a realm. If realmsize is larger than say....30, and particular vassal (not liege) has 1/3rd, then other vassals can band together and either end up declaring war (if possible) or trying to make the liege cut the vassal down to size.
-Religious factions within multi-faith realms. Could be a demand from Cathar nobles on their liege to make the whole realm Cathar, for instance. In Orthodox/Miaphysite this can even be accompanied by demands to replace patriarchs. For examples nobles in Armenia can ask the Basileus to replace an Orthodox patriarch of Antioch with a Miaphysite one.

-Autonomous faction can demand that realm be split up (example: king of England&Scotland has two sons. They can ask the king to give Scotland to his 2nd son, or even a scottish noble).
1. Theoretically doable, but the "give away a county if above demesne limit" should cover that
2. Not really all that doable, and I certainly can't make the AI act on it properly
3. Not really doable; factions only target their liege or their liege's titles
4. Multi-faith realms are such a rare thing I'm not sure there'd be much point. Getting it to actually work properly would be near impossible

Hey, first off this mod is phenomenal.

Just wanted to see if you had any idea about something strange that just happened to me while playing last night (latest PB, VIET Events/Traits/Assets, SWMH, 2.0.1 & SOA). As a Kurdish Sunni vassal of the Sunni Arab Abbasid Empire, I declared a conquest war on a Sunni Persian independent Emir... and my liege joined in against me, despite there being no alliances anywhere. I reloaded a couple times and it happened over and over, despite: us all being coreligionists (I thought neighbors would only join if a different religion was conquering), us all being different cultures (not that I think that would matter), my lieges opinion being ~0, so not great. I've never seen something like this before, and while I don't really have a problem with it theoretically it was surprising.

While this could be coming from the beta or another mod, since PB tends to do the most with game play I thought I'd see what you were thinking first. And on a side note, liberal use of Mercs ensured Kurdish triumph, so at least that worked out fine .

Muslim conquest is treated as a religious war by the game, and all religious wars give the opportunity for co-religionists joining in. You just don't see it elsewhere, because other religions have no religious wars that can be launched on themselves.

Sorry to double post, but I just ran into a recurring CTD when the "Crusader Kings" event pops up (announcing the start of the crusades).
That's strange; I've had several test games go well past that point without any problems.

There's some restrictions on claim wars in PB (specifically when trying to declare war on allies), but all of those should be visible on the war declaration screen when hovering over the CB.

I have been playing the latest PB(3.3.3)+VIET(1.5.0) combo and found that both the Feast and Grand Hunt portraits are blank and not showing my portrait. The issue does not exist in vanilla.

Hoping someone can help me find out what the issue is.

View attachment 95708
They're blank when they trigger after the decision is taken. This is essentially unavoidable, I'm afraid.

I have had a bit of an idea. Don't know if it would work but here it is. for the Byzantines there could be a system where an event selects various people to be generals. people with high martial or good relations. there generals are the only ones that can declare war and start plots but others can still back them. not sure of other ways to balance this though. so an palace coup plot which can be stared for someone with a claim triggers and starts an event chain which can lead to either imprisonment and blinding fo the plotter or the Emperor as well as flight of the claimants abroad perhaps in search of help....

I can see those, but they're all green: the only one that's not is the valid casus belli line. This seems to be the case with all characters in my game.

Is there a mod feature that requires that claims be converted into a casus belli?

Do you have any interest in tackling North Korea mode, the power that is event troops, or levy amounts? Some of this might be impossible and some of it might be beyond the scope of the mod- who knows, maybe you've corrected this already. I tend to play below or at my demesne limit and assassinate claimants pretty regularly, so it could be you've already fixed this.
