Is it wad that "Italian Pike Trainig Grounds" gives a bonus on light and heavy cavalry?
The building even has -10 Pikemen...
Playing PB+SWMH most of the Italian Retinues are and Heavy/Light Cavalry mix. I think the header just was not renamed.

The retinue is:

Code:
RETTYPE_CUL_ITA =
{
	first_type = 4
	first_amount = 150

	second_type = 3
	second_amount = 100

	culture = italian
	culture = sicilian

	modifier = {
		knights_defensive = 0.6
	}
}

4 is heavy, 3 is light Cavalry.

More King's/Emperor's Peace faction concepts. For reference, I can also substitute a different type of crown for Emperor's versus King's. (No download, since I'm still messing around with stuff.)
Those are lovely.
I'm considering overhauling the faction system though, merging all the crown authority factions into a single autonomy faction (generally opposed to all crown laws and demesne laws). If you've got anything fitting for that I'd love to see it. The 3rd icon there might work well for that matter.

Yeah, according to the SWMH team cavalry makes much more sense for the Italians.
I should probably rename the building though.
First time using Github so bear with me....I'm seeing all the files, but how do I download them as a folder/zip?
There's a "Download ZIP" button in the sidebar.

Not sure how I feel about factions against demesne law. But I'm certainly not against simplifying the crown authority factions. Whatever you decide to do, you're still welcome to use whatever icon works for the faction. Depending on how it works out, if one of them doesn't end up being suitable, then I'm sure I'll probably just make some more.

Essentially they'll have a bunch of possible actions, with "demand lower obligations" being one of them. That'll lower crown levies if not 0, then Feudal obligations if not minimal, then if that's not the case either, apply a 10 year modifier decreasing obligations.

The other action I've coded is giving the liege monetary support when defending against invaders. Though that's rather unlikely to happen unless you manage to keep your vassals rather happy.

For now it's just an idea I'm playing around with, but it might eventually go live. See the factions branch. "Groundwork" and up is work on the factions.

Actually, that sounds pretty good. As long as they aren't messing with demesne law outside of obligations, I'm cool with it. I especially like the idea that they can also do some stuff beyond just messing with your laws. I'll have to take a peek at the factions branch when I get a chance.

Thanks. I'm pleased to report the beta has done away with the steppe Serbia! :)

And I'm glad it wasn't VIET's fault, or else I would've had a real headache. :D

is the mod stable enough to be played?Or should i wait a little longer?

Everyone can still play it with the prepatched version without having to fight Steam (FYI).

Just right click on crusader kings II in your steam library, go to properties, BETAs, click the dropdown box and select 1.111 - Old version 1.111. Then launch your game as you usually do, select the mods you played before the patch and viola.

Doing it this way you avoid the compatibility problems that go hand in hand with Steam's stubborn auto-patch system and crusader kings II mods breaking down with every official patch release.

Avoid the crossfire. If you use a box then download the 1.111 patch from somewhere, reinstall the vanilla game and these fine mods, finally slap the 1.111 patch on, launch the game, click all the mods you want in a blender and press pure.

Hope the Steam advice helps someone else as much as it helped me today. Pass the word around amongst yourselves. I've done my good deed for the day! *Salutes* *Turns about and walks away vanishing into the surrounding aether*

Is there any chance we get a new type of faction that will make it more fun to play as a vassal?
If I implement that Autonomy faction idea, that should make things a bit more interesting as a vassal as you'll get a larger variety of power over your liege than just "comply with me or I'll declare war!".
is the mod stable enough to be played?Or should i wait a little longer?
It should be quite stable, especially if you download the beta version.

If people want to downgrade to 1.111, here's the last version of PB for 1.111: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ti5b979s7khy25x/Project Balance v3.2.29.7z

Think I might have found bug, whenever a vassal refuses to let his liege revoke his title a war is supposed to start and vice versa. For me, the two parties are immune to hostile action but the war never fires. Same problem with faction wars. I am using PB+SWMH

This is sooo annoying! Using 1.111, Project Balance and SWMH- everything worked excellently. Then Sons of Abraham (which sounded like a good idea actually), the 2.01 patch- and voila! I even can't get a game running anymore! I choose a character with the Old Gods, want to start- and the game crushes down immediately. No chance to get it running. No other Mods in use (beside the SWMH & PB compatibility mod). Anyone knows a solution/has had the same issue???

if on steam, go to CK 2, right click properties, go to betas, and click 1.111 old version. it will basically rollback to 1.111 pre-SOA

also make sure the mods are updated to 2.01 as well, if not, then just roll the game back. and if they are up to date, make sure you have them installed.
