No he wasn't Armenian...He was born near Thrace(Macedon) from Greek parents...but his ancestors like him were lowborn,so after his successful rise on the Byzantine throne his circle created the legend of the Armenian noble House...

I seem to have encountered a bug
I played as Ireland and after some time made the King title for Ireland.
One issue, I couldn't change my National Levies law. I couldn't turn any of them ON in fact.
Later when I usurped Scotland I could work Scotland's Levy laws just fine, but not the Ireland ones.

It's in the beta now. You need a female monarch to get there, and a good nickname, and some prestige. You also need this for cognatic-enatic and can only go one step at a time, so you need two great Queens to reach Enatic.

Possibly three. If you start at Agnatic-Cognatic, you have to reach Absolute Cognatic, before going into Enatic-Cognatic, and then finally Enatic.

I think it's a good, realistic system. Well, as realistic as a matriarchal society can get in Medieval Europe. Gradually weaning the change onto your vassals, rather than all of a sudden going "Men can't inherit anymore, sorry! LOL!"

Some changes to gender laws coming next version:

• Changing gender law now requires a certain level of prestige (500 for Agnatic and Agnatic-Cognatic, 1000 for True Cognatic). The prestige is not lost
• Added Enatic-Cognatic and Enatic succession with some very high restrictions. The AI will never use either
• It is no longer possible to move directly from Agnatic to True Cognatic; succession law has to be changed in steps: Agnatic -> Agnatic-Cognatic -> True Cognatic -> Enatic-Cognatic -> Enatic

Enatic-cognatic:

• Be female
• 2000 prestige
• Ambitious or diligent
• Not content or slothful
• A good nickname

Enatic:

• Be female
• 3000 prestige
• Ambitious and diligent
• A good nickname

but at the old gods start date there not as weak and that's when i started. i am pretty sure they had more that that even then. all the army's seem to be very small for all the nations rarely getting over ten thousand even for powerful empires. in every other mod and in vanilla the army are much bigger England can muster ten thousand and a stable Byzantines fifty thousand.

shouldn't there be the name Constantine and so on in the Greek name generator their were several emperors named things that aren't in the name list.

Armies in general in 867 are quite small as there are few buildings around. They grow further into the game.
Making them any larger in 867 would essentially result in them being far too large in 1066.

Paradox introduced the bug in 1.102.
I'll probably add an event to sort it out.

So enatic succession is also in the normal mod? I assumed that it would only be in the gender equality module, which IMHO would be more appropriate. I guess something else I'll edit out then.

Let's be realistic, I've heard it said on this forum that there were actually matriarchal communities somewhere among the pagans (Balts?), and it's not like the AI will ever manage the requirements more than once in 100 games.

The AI will never use it.
To get to Enatic-Cognatic will take a minimum of two female rulers with good traits and high prestige. To get to Enatic requires another such ruler.
And due to how the law screen is set up, you won't actually see the option unless you scroll down the gender law list

No need to edit something out that the AI will never use. Besides there are semi-plausible ways for it to happen. Ok, it's a bit out there, but if everything happened just right with the right religion, why not...

Unaffected currently. The Gender Equality module doesn't actually touch the succession laws; it's applied via a global flag that's checked for in the PB succession law file (and ambitions and job_titles files).
