BTW, ARKO and VIET Events, both quite good, should not in any way hamper the conversion process.

I propose the some changes to religious conversion for the 867 start.
1. there should be a zero chance for pagan to convert Christian or Islamic provinces. There is no historical evidences for such a conversion. The game often produces Christian conversions to the Norse religion that never happened.
2. Norse, Polish and Russian cultures who were expansionistic came in close contact with the Christian nation through trade and war. Their rulers recognized the advantages gained by conversion, such as better administration and knowledge. The conversion by the mid 11th century does happen sometimes for the Scandinavian nations but it is extremely rare for Poles and Russians. I suggest an increased chance for conversion for these cultures only if possible.
I must back that up (or at least pagans not converting to christianity/islam) - in 150y of my game there wasn't single instance of pagans converting to any of the monotheistic provinces. Rus "converted" to Tengri by giving heir to Tengri guardian, but other than that nada. Also - playing as Pagan and having rather long border with the christians I have not seen any missionary event (the one where you imprison the dude... or convert if you fancy) - is this WAD?

In my game Scotland (ruled by the house of Ivar) converted around 940-ish, and I've sent plenty of Christian missionaries to jail for ransom or sacrifice.
If the target duchy has one or more provinces of your exact religion within it, you get to bypass almost all requirements.I figured ARKO wouldn't because it's graphical (and have been using it) but that's good to know about VIET events. Maybe I'll try them out.
Also, having reformed the Norse Pagan faith, I'm getting a holy war cool-down timer... but can still declare them. Bug or WAD?
Tengri rulers are not meant to get all that many missionaries, as there wasn't anywhere near as much effort to convert them.I must back that up (or at least pagans not converting to christianity/islam) - in 150y of my game there wasn't single instance of pagans converting to any of the monotheistic provinces. The Invasion CB shouldn't really cause any issues, yeah.I've been playing a Mongol game with a small slew of mods (Project Balance, Armoiries ArkoPack, Additional Objects for PB, No Random Heresies, and SWMH with PB compat.) with all DLC and after a good 80 years I've just hit a crash bug on enforcing a peace deal which means I can't go on. As it stands I have 100% warscore for an invasion of the Republic of Novgorod which would mean the direct transfer of some 30+ counties to my character but every time when the deal is accepted my game just crashes to desktop. I've tried every arrangement I could think of where I'd either be my own character, the Novgorod leader, or a random character to hope that it would keep it from crashing but no luck.
I figured since PB seems to be the primary mod this would be the place to ask, so would anyone happen to have solutions or ideas? I hope it isn't due to the sheer volume of titles but that doesn't seem right since I've conquered all of Georgia, Armenia, and Alania before such that I gained an additional 100-some titles to my demesne all at once with a crash that resolved itself upon reloading. Thanks for any help.

The Hungarians though should get a lot of missionaries (both Catholic and Orthodox), and the Russians a lot of Orthodox missionaries. The Polish and the Norse should get Catholic missionaries, and the West Africans should be getting Muslim missionaries.
But the Tengris not of one of these cultures should not be getting much.
That mostly just leads to silly things like Catholic Pechenegs.Shouldn't the Tengris also get missionaries? The game is about alternate history after all, and it does seem plausible that an Orthodox or Muslim ruler would want to convert them.
No idea, but an update will be out soon enough. Also, is PB still compatible with the latest patch?
Subjugation or Pagan Conquest should work, as well as holy war if you reform, and claims and so on.And another question, how do I declare war as a Norse ruler on other pagans? I would like to do same thing as Rurik and create my own kingdom in Eastern Europe.
Yay! And thanks for answering my questions so quicklyNo idea, but an update will be out soon enough.
How?!Project Balance 3.2.20 released
Should be compatible with any saves from 3.2.X. Some changes might only apply to new campaigns.
If you encounter any issues or have any feedback, please report it in this thread.

- Updated to work with patch 1.102
- (867 start) Fixed Egypt not existing
- Doubled the chance of being randomly born with most congenital traits (does not affect trait inheritance)
- Genius parents or grandparents now make the quick trait more likely if you don't inherit the genius trait. Imbecile and inbred also makes slow more likely
- Rebalanced the obligation focus sliders
Here's an example from in-game:My favorite part of the 1.102 patch: "Added 'can_use_gui' to CB types"
This means I can move most of the "is war possible?" checks into the CB itself, reducing clutter on the decision screen, and making war requirements more transparent.
This does not to my knowledge work for title scopes though, so the Holy War checks and part of the Pagan Subjugation checks still remain in my beta branch. The rest have been removed in favor of showing it on the war declaration screen.
Culture conversion takes about 50% longer unless the province is coastal (multiplies MTTH by 0.75) or completely isolated from provinces of its own culture (multiplies MTTH by 0.4).I'm having the funniest game at the moment, where the queen of Aquintine is Frankish and the king of France is Occitian. Also Burgundy is English and Ireland is mostly German.

BTW, how fast is cultural conversion compared to vanilla?
