Right, on the topic of Byzantium's name, this is what I'm planning on implementing next patch:
Byzantium is now called the Greek Empire if held by Greeks
If you start the campaign as someone in the Greek Empire, it will be renamed Basileia Rhomaion

If anyone has any objections, now's the time.

Seriously, why have you started messing with this sort of stuff? Byzantine/Roman Empire is fine, and the correct historiographical term. Please do not go down this dubious road of naming states after what their inhabitants likely did.

As has been said, this is a vanilla balance mod, so keep it at that. It is your mod, so by all means implement this thing if you really want to, but I strongly advise against it.

Flavor changes are hardly without precedent; there's a nice big "flavor" section in the OP. I do believe this is the first time anyone has actually responded to any of the flavor changes though

Anyway, I'll be waiting for more feedback before I actually implement anything.

EDIT: Stlil ultimatleyu prefer Eastern Roman or BYzantine Empire, but Greek Empire's fine too.

Which is better? Duchy of Athens or Duchy of Morea/Achaea? I like Morea more since it's further from the action and you have your back to the sea.

I object, true this isn't the first flavor change but it's the biggest, and I don't like this road much at all. I'd much prefer if this mod stuck to it's roots and kept itself to fixing paradoxs balance mess.

No.
Localization of titles must be done in landed_titles, something like c_hainaut_dutch;Henegouwen or PROV94_dutch;Henegouwen is ignored, likewise for the other three tiers.
