So. I formed Burgundy as Aargau (in 31 years as my first character nonetheless - he died at 79) and am still part of the HRE. I have all of the kingdom except half the French part and Provence, which belongs to my mother. I also have Alsace, Swabia, Upper Lorraine, and 3/5 counties in Lombardy. The thing is, I can't press my vassal's de jure claims on the other counties in his de jure duchy. I don't see anything in the changelog about this, so what's wrong, exactly?

Also, I forgot, if I'm a king and I press a random courtier's claim on a duchy or county, that just changes rulers for that one title and I don't get them, right?
I'm making a change next patch that I'm hoping will fix the dejure claim issue.

To get someone to stay a part of your realm when pushing their claim they must either hold a title within it, be a member of your dynasty, or the title must be dejure yours.

Hi,

I am playing a game as Luebeck, and have managed to become king of Danemark, Norway, Burgundy and Marakech (the later 2 from crusades). As far as I am counting, I should be able to form the Skandinavian Empire now, (only de jure part of Danemark thats missing is Bremen) but I cant seem to do it.
Is me being Pommeranian the problem?
If yes, then would it be possible to add:
-Kingdom of Pomerania formable by non Pagan Pomeranians?
-The possibility creating a Baltic Empire (Pommerania, Lithuania, Finland?) ?

Balance wise, there may be a problem with cities being even better then in Vanilla, as centers of trade are basically sheer awesome. Its like an extra university that gives money and galleys!

You need 80% of the empire to form it. Check the title screen. No idea about other requirements or empires.

I'm making a change next patch that I'm hoping will fix the dejure claim issue.

To get someone to stay a part of your realm when pushing their claim they must either hold a title within it, be a member of your dynasty, or the title must be dejure yours.

That's what I thought it was. Don't think I'll be abusing the current state of affairs.

My immediate plans for 1.09:
Make PB compatible within 24 hours.
A few bug fixes that I've already done. List of changes made so far:

Fixed the war ending inconclusively when trying to install someone else as the leader of an Elective realm

Can I ask what the fix for this is?
I am currently playing a game with this mod, I am in an elective realm(obviously! :p ) and I can't figure out how to fix the wars my self.

I would like to fix it for this version, because I don't plan on updating my game for a while after the soon to be patch, as I want to continue this game for a while yet.

So, a short after action report:

Start: 1066 as Luebeck
DLC: Legacy of rome

Starting moves:
-Danemark DOWed me for de jure, I immidiatly surrendered, resulting in me becoming a Danish Vasall. I send my chancellor to improve relations with the king. After I got relation improvements, I asked for the duchy of Holstein and got it. The Danish king then pushed my claim on the duchy of Mecklenburg. I used my saved up money to hire mercenaries to support him, but if he didnt have an alliance with France, Krutoj could have gotten us.
-Next years were spent with consolidating my rule other Mecklenburg, eventually I also managed to grab Stettin when Pomerania had rebel issues
-I now prepared for the take over of Danemark, be forging claims on everything that was not the Kings demesne. Eventually declared indepence and then ursurped
-There were some really tight moments, because I had a very bad female heir who get excommed and invaded by the HRE. I surrendered, resulting in her not soo bad child becoming "megaduke", however, all my holding were now "recently conquered", and the Norwegians and Danes nearly managed to reassert themselfs
-Eventually, recently conquered wore off, my child mega duke became a very reasonable adult and I went spanking the Danes. He also married a genius princes of Norway, and eventually got her on the throne. It took nearly a 100 years before the Norwegians were somehow acceptant of Pommeranian rule.
-The Abbaddids got Burgundy somehow (come to think of it, there were a lot of situation in which stuff somehow turned out to be muslim or Ilkhanate, at one point Hamburg was Abbadid for some reason, nobody knew why and how, I moved in and took it), I crusaded it and got lucky that the French Kingbishop (France is a theocracy) died, meaning that I and not France got it.
-There was also a crusade for Marakesh which as really easy.
-And another one for sicily, but that got aborted for unkown reasons at 80% warscore
-Via some intermarriage stuff, I got a Nakonid (but a North german one) in charge of the kingdom of Saxony. When the Emperor was away protecting Poland against the Ilkhan, Saxony struck and I helped him to become Emperor
-I had no idea why, but a barony I had in Hamburg did , for whatever reason, became Ilhkanate. I seriously have no idea how that happened. I prepared a fair bit, waited for a time where all holy orders were available marshalled my retinues (lots and lots of Hussars, with Pikemen/Archer support)
-the Illkhanate doomstack soon made its way along the Baltic coast, and its full 100K glory. My retinue troops (around 30K) were waiting at the Oder, with 2 secondary stacks (one beign Mercs + Holy Orders + some vasal troops, the others being the regular levies) of 30K and 40K, together with transports beign prepared behind them.
-I initially planned to let my light cav defence bonus Hussar retinues wether the powerfull Mongol skirmish phase, unfortunatly, my leaders had the great idea to engage 3 times more numerous mongol hordes in running harrassment tactics, which didnt end very well
-As 2 flanks were failing, I sent in my regular levies, which stabilised things and kept the light cavalry from routing.
-The Mongols charged, at which point I sent in the Heavy holy Knights and mercenaries, who kicked some serious rear end, but also suffered grevious losses (all 3 grandmasters died in this battle), eventually, on flank broke and the outcome was 50K casulties on my side and 60K casulties on the mongol side.
-I then used my navy to pursue them and eventually destroy their main stack

-After the Mongols were defeated I kind of lost interest. I tried forming skandinavia, which was "wait for chancellor to work, go to war, get another country", just when I was thinking to have 80% soon, I figured out that Iceland is also de jure Skandinavian Empire :)

Love the mod, thanks so much for all the hard work ... But I'm having a problem with imperial reconquest as byz. I don't always get all; or even any, titles. E.g. I succesfully fought a reconquest against venice for cephalonia via reconquest claim on epiros; all that happened is I usurped the duchy of epiros from my own vassal - cephalonia staid with venice. something similar happened in chersos. I've manged to take some land from Seljuks via reconquest; one duchy I usurped myself, with counties (though not baronies - those just vasssaled to me). Another, via a reconquest on a rebelling duke-equivalent in Seljuk, led to the rebelling duke-level vassaling directly to me.

I understand this might be a vanilla bug. But I don't want to abandon my save to update! Any idea how to fix things in a manner consonant with keeping the save? Maybe I could use the console to take the titles that are rightfully mine (any suggestions on how to do that), or change something in the CB file?

In the cb_types file for other_dejure_county_claim (I think) take out the entire big segment about being related, heathen, heretic, etc.

Probably a vanilla issue, and not one I can fix. Because as long as the correct title is targeted, you should be getting it.
You can probably use console commands to fix it, yeah. They're all listed here: http://ckiiwiki.com/Console_Commands

Tossing in a quick thing that has been bothering me:
Why is qualifying for Holy War harder for a Cynical character? Shouldn't someone with the trait be well... cynical enough to use pretense of fighting for their faith to claim more land. I think it should, like Zealous, Brave and Wroth, be one of those traits enabling Holy War.

Thanks for the update.

Is anyone else getting sea zones controlled by 'The ----' and strange black arrows on them? Should I renew the cache or something?

I've done the cache thing and still have the problem. It only occurs in PB, not in Vanilla CK2. Here's an image, I've enlarged the tooltip.

The entire republics didn't exist?!

How did that happen? Is it something to do with them being vassals?

It was caused by landed_titles being humongous, and I thus missed those two new titles when porting PB to 1.09. The duchies existed but the kingdoms, and thus Patrician titles, didn't.
