Committed a fix to the beta branch.Aaaand now it's crashing when clicking single player. :V
There are still shipyards; they're just nerfed. Can you add a province modifier for republic capitals that bulks up their garrison or fort level? Or add a bonus building like the one which prevents barons from getting levies?
I've also seen agnostic open on a non Muslim owned title. I swapped it over to agnatic gavelkind in the save file. It was a 1.10 PB only game, but I can't tell you anything more about it. My memory must be failing...
For galleys, is there a reason not to leave them on shipyards like vanilla does? Maybe with a bonus on centers of trade?
I'd recommend Googling "GitHub detached head"; you'll likely find some instructions as to fixing it.Hey Meneth, do you know what DETACHED HEAD and the impossibility to commit changes from my computer in github means?
Scandinavia has almost no inland provinces though, so having a really large navy isn't unexpected. Thanks for the quick update! Did a check. Went from 1000 galleys to 500, still enough to carry 100k soldiers. (Full control of Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland)
The issue was that your carrying capacity would be far higher than your army size. There is no indication of what types of ships are supposed to be in the game. I've assumed that the basic ship is the galley or curragh or snekja, in which case numbers such as 1000 for a unified Scandinavia seems low. Since the game doesn't distinguish between types of ships, I assume that ships numbers are displayed as carrying capacity expressed in terms of the ship types historically available at the earliest start date, so really high numbers should be expected as time goes on. In other words... why are they being nerfed, again? Note: I don't care, I'm just curiously confused as to what the issue is that's being addressed.
Re: Tanistry in Ireland. The thing about Tanistry is that it generates a ton of claimants after a couple successions, and elections tend to favour older characters, so successions happen often. It doesn't lead to stability because it leads to repetitive claimant wars. I wouldn't worry too much about a too-stable Ireland, especially once SWMH gets updated and the number of provinces, and hence number of electors, on the island are increased.
It's not empty in my game...Is the south-western most province in Finland ("Soumi"?) supposed to be empty in PB?
Haven't updated that one for 1.101. Should work in 1.10 though.I am having issues with the no_assault module with the latest update. The game crashes after the character selection screen.
Thanks for reporting.Playing as the Byzantine, after winning the war to regain the coast of Anatolia you also usurp the titles from all of your vassals in Greece and Cyprus.
Only three buildings give ships:I recognize that. I'm curious what the balance reason is for putting them on other buildings, too.![]()
NOT = { FROM essentially means that it'll work unless all of the things within FROM are true. FROM = { NOT means that if anything within the NOT is true, it won't work. And yet another update, you're very industrious Meneth!![]()
A while back, or rather a few updates ago, I had a question/remark about the changed Proselytizing options in PB, which basically restricts it to zealous characters. I personally had the idea to disallow it for Cynical characters, in my slightly modified personal version (the only other thing is a line in defines.lua, or used to be, regarding de jure drift, though that may at its' place in a 867 start).
Anyway what's the best way to script that FROM = { NOT = {...., or NOT = { FROM....?
Though these two extremes would or would not proselytize for religious reasons; people in between would much more likely see the political reasons (though that might also be said about Cynical characters, but then there wouldn't be any balancing left) to do so, and IMHO probably would have needed some random chance in doing so (let's say 50%).
Here you go, the last version before updating to 1.092.Hi! I have a question, are earlier versions of Project Balance kept somewhere? The reason I'm asking that actually I really enjoyed 1.091 and it's PB version together, you guys really polished the pre-1.10 CKII to perfection, sometimes I want to play that instead of 1.10 and Old Gods. I have the patch, but I made the stupid mistake of deleting the earlier version of PB from my folder. I know what some of you would say, just turn off Old Gods and play, but then of course you can't play pagans, and I still have to stick to 1.10.
You could just download the Beta branch as a whole, since that includes everything from the master branch.Wow, that looks great!
Im still not sure about how to get the git beta to work, I tried downloading 3.2.12 then going to the PB-Git Beta and downloading the whole thing as a Zip file and overwriting it onto 3.2.12 but I'm not sure that works as then the Seljuks didnt attack Anatolia.
With my PC skills I'm probably beyond help, though![]()
It virtually never happened in history, so banning it entirely feels best.It is not something big, as I always just edit it myself. But how do you feel about independent female rulers being able to lead armies? (may be if and only if they also got skilled tactician/brilliant strategist)
Still not sure it'd make much sense. In most cases it still wouldn't be historical.Maybe require Brilliant Strategist and Brave/Cruel/Ambitious?
If the target is Muslim (but a different Muslim religion) you should be able to use it as long as the first decision can be enacted, you share a land border, and the target has 6 or more counties within the target kingdom.Hey Meneth, how does the Muslim invasion work? I have the prerequisites (the decision is enactable) but I don't get the CB on anyone. Are there any limiting factors concerning the target of the invasion?
I assume you're not a merchant republic either?Well that's the problem, you see. Both decisions are enactable, but I can't declare an invasion CB on catholic Hungary, even though I border it. I can only use regular holy war CBs. And no, I don't have the cooldown modifier.
Could you link the wiki article? Pretty sure Wikipedia is on the external links whitelistChecked some history. Found a few examples. There is actually a whole wikipedia (Yes, I just referenced wikipedia as a source. Will it get me Excommunicated?) article on it. No idea how to render it well-enough in game so that it does happen, but only rarely. Of the female rulers I know are in game, Mathilda di Canossa of Tuscanymdid apparently lead an army.
A fix has now been committed to the beta branch.No.
Yes.
