Hey,

I have recently bought Rome (since I'm such a huge fan of both EU and Rome) but seems like the negative commentaries on here were quite right. First of all, my game starts in 478 instead of 276 and the years go up instead of towards zero (478-479-480) making the game end in 781? Is this a bug? I have downloaded the patches. Is this a common occurence?

Also, I like the character system but it's just ridicilous. It seems quite unfinished. Actually, the whole game does. It's a pitty, because it had some nice potential

478 AUC (Ab Urbe Condita) - 478 years since the founding of Rome. It is meant to count upwards since it counts the years from the founding of Rome. 478 AUC equals 276 BC.

You should've purchased Rome Gold. It includes the expansion in a bundle with good price. Plus, the vanilla game is somewhat lacking without the government management (and many other thingies) added with VV.

I really suggest to go where you bought the game and try to convince them to exchange it with the Gold version.
