I have downloaded the Imperator Ludovicus mod, created a "mod" folder in Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II and placed the "imperator" folder there, but it doesn't show up on the CK2 launcher. What more do I need to do?

Um, there IS a file named "imperator.mod" in the .zip file along with a folder named "imperator" when I downloaded from the dropbox link.

the video file?
Not actually a video file- as far as I remember the file extension just happens to be the same. The combination of the .mod file and also the mod's folder is what makes the mod work. Specifically, the .mod file is what tells the game where to look for the mod's files. If you were open it with something like Notepad, pretty much all there is to it is you'll see the name of the mod and then a file path.

Regardless, to install all you do is unzip the contents of the ZIP file you downloaded (which is the mod's folder and the .mod file) into the mods folder you created under Documents.

Both the imperator folder and the imperator.mod file are in the mod folder

Then you should be fine then. Are you sure when you created the mods folder you put it in the right place under Documents? That's the only thing it could possibly be unless tbe mod author goofed up. There's almost nothing that can go wrong with installing mods for CK2.

Um, can you post screenshots of your mod folder and the launcher's mod tab?

Documents? Shouldn't it be in Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II?

Paradox Interactive is in Home/.local/share
I'm not familiar with Linux at all, but if that's where you have your gfx folder for example, then that's the right place to have created your mod folder. According to the wiki, this is the path for Linux: ~/.paradoxinteractive/Crusader Kings II

Also, I find it curious you have a bunch mods already. I'm assuming you've been using the Workshop up until now. Unless I'm misrembering you should have already have a mod folder.

I don't use Windows, I use Ubuntu. I posted a screenshot on the mod folder
You are obviously putting it in the wrong place since none of the mods in your launcher can be seen.
