Problems with HoI v.1.05 German version

I installed version 1.05 over my existing 1.03c-version 3 days ago.

Maybe this is important, so a brief story:
Now I am playing Germany (Start in 1936 on both hardest level) and after a very successful "blitzkrieg" (Danmark, Norway, Poland, Hungary (!), Romania (!), Yogoslavia, Greece, Techoslovakia, Bulgary, France and (repuplican) Spain are already defeated and annected) and little fightings against commonwealth-troops in north-west africa I am preparing for the upcoming war in the east:

I is now December 13th, 1941 and the game stops suddently and will not go on. What should I do? Who can help me? Does this problem occured somebody before?

it used to happen with 1.03 - you need to make a fresh install of the game (ver 1.00) patch it with 1.06c and start a NEW game.. If you load an old save it should still freeze at the date you specified..

Thank you for quick answer. But:
- I do not have version 1.0 (i bought v. 1.03 c)
- patch 1.06 seems to be not available for the german version

Well the bug should not happen if you install the german version of 1.05 over 1.03c and start a NEW game.

I also think that 1.06c english version should work with the german 1.03c version - except you will have some stuff in english..

What you can do is install the hoi game again in a new folder and patch it with 1.06c and see if it runs smoothly. So you dont need to uninstall the version you currently have. Just make sure when you patch with 1.06c it points to the directory in which you just installed the new 2 copy of HOI.

The 13th dec 1941 CTD is well known and was fixed in versions after 1.05. Best thing to do is go directly to 1.06c, or if you want to keep 1.05, at least get 1.05c.

You can use 1.06c with your game (box version germany 1.03 - damn late)
After a while you will get used to English. There won´t be any more language versions of future patches.

install box version
install patch 1.06c

The game improves a lot with this version (and core 0.84)

THANKS A LOT TO ALL OF YOU!!! It was no problem to install version 1.06c (english) over 1.05c (german) and everything works perfectly. The best thing is: I loaded my old file via last autosave and could go on with my last game! No freeze anymore at Dec, 13th 41!!!! :rofl:

Or use the translate function in Google. Then you'll get: "I would have nevertheless rather ' ne German version of 1.06c". This was not so bad, but sometimes Google Translate really make hillarious translations :rofl:
