i'm having a problem where after i enter a considerable amount of text into the file by hand--mostly changing manpower amounts--& then save, it reverts not to even the last save, but to the original file i was using as a template! (in this case the AoE scenario 1492).

any ideas as to why this is happening?

is there a way to change province base manpower in the scenario editor itself?

is there a limit to the amount of new information you can give per save?

is there a limit to the number of provinces you can have starting w/ a tax collector?

thanks for any & all advice. (i did read through the scenario editor FAQ thread, but didn't see anything that i could recognize as relevant to these questions.)

I assume you used 'save as' and are aware that scenario files are saved as single files.

Afaik there are no limits to how many provinces you can have starting with improvements (more than 'all of them is the lot' ;)) Same goes for 'new info in one sitting', although save frequently since iirc the editor is ctd-prone too.

As for manpower - I remember no such method, but it can be manually added afterwards into the scenario-save.
