I'm playing Byzantine Empire in normal/normal AGCEEP game, I'm in 1526 and my BB points are 116.5/34 !
I'm ready and waiting for a total war against other chirstians due to my BB points but this dosn't happen!
My relations with other countries are vary badly, with no allys and no royal marriages or vassals.
My land and naval techs are 14 almost the same of other great countrys.

Is possible that other countries fear my power because I own the biggest naval fleet and the stronger and outnumbered army?
However why don't they DoW me?

True BB wars only happen at the Very Hard difficulty setting. Change your game into Very Hard and you will be guaranteed to be attacked by massed enemy forces.

if you are playing the game at an easy difficulty level then the AI probably will not declare war on you ever. or maybe you are just way to powerful...

Do not change to very hard. I repeat. Do not change to very hard.

It is almost impossible that you would survive BB wars in 1526.

You probably dont have the manpower for fending off the rest of the nations of Europe. Even if you manage to hold them off, you do not have the manpower to put them on their knees. You will most probably be drag into neverending wars until war exhaustion and ensuing constant rebels tear you apart.

Change to Hard/Furious and disband your armies. Then save and reload. You will get plenty of DoWs to keep you bussy. If you find that difficult to manage, think that only your neighbours and their allies are attacking you, instead of everybody and their cousin as in a BB war.

Yeah :D .
I remember at first i misunderstood the concept and thought only all nations on your continent declare war to you .
Kicked of BB wars as china in 1480 or so and when i reached europe border about 30-50 years later i couldn't believe that the europeans dow me too :D  :D .

With 116,5 BB + as Byzantine with hordes of cores you have to be a very amazing power already though ( like half of europe ) so maybe you are already ready to kick bb wars off :) .

I've never triggered a BB war, but one person 'documented' in in an AAR. At one point it looked like every single nation on the planet with its own ID tag was at war with him, then I would've sworn it added nations out of spite.

It's kinda like that chair lift ride, where you're lifted to a few hundred feet in height, then allowed to "free fall" most of the way back down?

You strap yourself in, the operator makes sure, and you go up. The ride's engine starts moving behind you. The first twenty or thirty feet, you think: This isn't so bad.

Then... Hmm, this is pretty high. That's about when the engine shifts gears to take up the strain.

Then... Hmm, is my restraint/safety belt secure? Now's not the time to test it....

Then... mommee....

Then... **CLICK** **DROP**

Now you're ready for the BB wars ;)

Yeah!
I don't know how to enclose some pictures of my empire but Byzantine conquered all Turkey and Israel, all Greece with ciprus and crete and other greek isles, rodi, kerch and we expand our dominion to the coast of eastern adriatic sea capturing all Venice provs linking my capital to milan (also conquered). That's all in Europe but my possessions include all western africa from the prov of sahara to the prov of angola!
I've got 3 CoT Kerch,Venice and Timbuktu
My man power is 53
My Navy is 522 warships, galleys and transports
My Army is almost 450000 units
I know I spend a lot to maintain my armies but I want to be ready for BB wars.

Hm your manpower is extremely low . If it is really only 53 then you could be in danger cause you maybe can't replace your armies fast enough .
If you already have borders with probably not so small Russia , Austria , France and Spain each one will attack with at least 50-100k troops each BB war so maybe the toll for the first BB war is already rather huge :)

To prevent the attack of this great powers my expansion is focused to have my empire border linked with the few nation possible.
Infact my empire only border a huge Poland, a normal Golden Horde, a huge but not tech advanced Egipt, a great Austria and the minor countries near the Pò river in Italy(Tuscany, Modena and Savoy).
About my african possession I expanded my empire hunting for portugese and spanish colonies in the area because I don't want to border with them, so I only border with Morocco.

My manpower isn't a lot because of my poor possession in Europe but I could ask the help of many mercenaries..

Try it ... just a little switch, to very hard.
You know you're curious.
How long are you going to sit there, wondering?
Try it .... how hard can it be?

Oh - and don't forget to tell us about it later.

Yeah and you can keep an old savegame in case the BB wars are too hard :)

Just do it! You will lose with so little MP, but some times is funny to see your ass being kicked very hard. :D

Have you already considered the possibility to release one nation as vassal to help you in the field... you know that AI has that un-limited troops cheat ;)
