Problems with 1.8.0

I've always been a big fan of EUIV, but since this latest patch there's been a few too many problems with the game. I checked with a friend and he had all the same problems.

- multiplayer no longer works by default - even if you have the same checksum etc etc it doesn't connect
- the game now crashes when you alt-tab then click on the icon to get back in
- the game is not incredibly laggy even when starting compared to before (probably due to the massive new amount of nations - this happens in other Paradox games as well)

Thoughts?

Does the 1.8.0-hotfix beta version fix the first problem?

The second problem can be worked around by using fullscreen windows.

Do you have a 32-bit or 64-bit windows?

Opt into the 1.8.1 beta and post again if you have issues still.
