Problems when reversing eu4 to 1.30.6

I cant run EU 4 in the old Version anymore. I tried to reverse the version to play with one of my mods which isnt up for the new version yet but the game keep crashing while its at the loading screen. So i deactivated the mod and notice i cant even run vanilla 1.30.6.

1.31.1 Runs smooth btw i can load and play but the old version keeps crashing while the loading screen. Anybody made a similar experince or have a workaround ?

Yes my experience exactly. Cant revert. Mods or not. Since we are in the middle of a world war in a multi game, I'd really like to continue. Any help would be wellcome.

Same. Verified files etc., game just keeps crashing. They trying to force us to play 1.31?

I don't have the DLC.

Ok fixed it. You need to disable the DLC from the Steam properties, not the paradox launcher. And revert to 1.30.6 of course.

The steam 1.31 announcement (not 1.31.1) already provides a way to revert to 1.30.6, it works fine for me. It's on steam community

Its the same instructions as on this site. Not working for me.

If you have the dlc you need do deactivate the dlc but also the unit pack and the music packs which are part of the dlc but need to be deactivated seperately. then it will work
