Problems connecting

So i've been trying to do Multiplayer but i've been having trouble starting up a game. I plan on being the host and i have forwarded the ports 2300-2400, 28800-29000 and 47400-47700 TCP on my router and still my friend cant connect or find my game, any one know where im going wrong?

I'd suggest you use Hamachi, as it is far more convenient. You open a Lan server and your friend joins via "Internet" by typing in your Hamachi IP. I'm doing this with friends of mine and it works perfect.

It really is not working MP.

Using direct connect by ip.

Use hamachi and etc is a very bad alternative!

I use W7... AOD and etc worked perfect. All open ports and firewall disabled!

Me and my friend got Gameranger, but were having trouble using it, i invited him to join the room i hosted, and then launched the game and hosted in Local Area, he typed in my IP address but still could not connect, this also happened when we hosted on Internet, could you give me a hand?

we tried just letting one of us host while the other stays waiting for host instead of launching the game himself but it doesn't do anything

Just click Start while you are in the GR room and it takes you automatically in to the game lobby.

Yes we've tried that but it doesn't work. it takes me to the main menu and does nothing, it doesn't even bring my friend into the game at all. Any ideas whats wrong? we cant find a solution anywhere

That happens sometimes, just go to local and host and he join you through local area. If that doesen't work, try open the Gameranger ports.
