Ok, I tried changing the music-files for this game but it seems that it doesn't work. The first song from lobby.txt starts playing and after that one of the songs from peace.txt starts playing and then it goes silent. I put 20 songs to each txt:s so I guessed it was because there was too many songs and it couldn't handle and I put the same amount of songs what the original had. The song that came from the peace.txt was almost the longest so there can't be any problems with the song durations. I tried to put the ".mp3" after the filenames in the peace.txt, war.txt and lobby.txt and then it didn't play any of the songs and I removed the ".mp3" from the txt's. So, I finally tried to change the song in lobby and it seems that all of those does work when I put them in lobby.txt. Any idea what the problem is ?

not sure. I have had something similar. The song I have in lobby and all the songs I have in peace play. All the songs in war play (when at war of course) but at some point the music decides to stop - it only happens with the songs when at war with me.
So I am puzzled as well.

Well I've named them "hoi2-songname" since the original music was set up just like that. Maybe I should try to change those names. I've kept those names also short just because I didn't want the game go crazy with long names

Tried to change the names but after that it played the two first songs from the peace.txt. Seems that there's no logic at all in this.
The reason the music stops will be that it tried to play a song with which there was a problem, and then no more music at all for the rest of the game...
20 songs in each text folder will not cause a problem.
Go through and look at each and every item in all the files. You must have no spaces in the names, no 'unusual' characters (I don't even put in digits or capitals, but I think they might be ok), no ".mp3" extensions on the end of the names in the text files, the name of the actual mp3 must be exactly the same as in the text file (except for the ".mp3" extension) [copy and paste it]. Or one of the mp3's could be corrupt. And then there is the blindingly obvious that we all miss sometimes (o ) like a name in the text file but no corresponding mp3 at all, or the file having a .mp3 extension but actually being some other kind of media type. You have the mp3 files in the correct folder? The name must start hoi2-
If all else fails, go to the text files and only keep the names of the mp3's that you know for a fact play ok, and delete everything else. Then each time you play, add 2 or 3 names to the list, that way you will find out where the problem is. It is ok to have mp3 files with no names in the playlist, but not to have names without the mp3 files.
There is logic in this. We just have to be very systematic about it. I've learnt the hard way to add no more than 3 files and names at a time.

hmm, that makes sense flock. Though I do know that they do not HAVE to have 'HoI2-' before their name.
But everything else seems reasonable. I will have a shufty through my music folder and see if what you say is right (or er wrong technically but you know what I mean )

yup. I had 'marseil' in the text file rather than 'marseill'
So a spelling error in the text file was my problem. Possibly it is with yours too.

A real easy way is just to play the mp3s in the background through media player and turn down the music volume to 0.
