Problem with Filthy Slavic's

So I am currently playing a game as Estonia, or Finland (as I just changed the name of the kingdom). I am now on my third character, reformed the faith on the first, became feudal on the second and then like 2-3 months before dying changed succession law to elective monarchy, and because im quite stupid my successor (my son) is a filthy slavic pagan (Im suomenusko). This was also the problem with my second character. And I have no clue how they became slavic because I gave neither any counties and neither was married, and definetly not to slav's.
Also this made my succession law elective gavelkind again, which is annoying, because my whole realm hates me so I might not survive 10 years to change it back, and even less get the 500 piety to switch religion.

So I am wondering what could be causing this? Why are my sons always slavic?

Anyways, once this internal problem is solved im eradicating slav's from the game, they have caused me so many problems.

No, I educate my sons myself, unless I already have several adult sons and am already educating 2 different people, in which case I hand them off to a vassal with skills I like and I never give them to other religions, other culture is fine for me. (Sons with good genetic traits are exempt from this rule, I always educate them myself.)

Though now I had to hand off my two brothers to a vassal to educate due to me being slavic and I didnt want them to also become slavic.

I havent sent them off as mercenaries. And I might have some slav's in my court, probably old slavic concubines ive captured in war and who have not died off yet and I havent bothered dealing with.

I also had a Byzantine Empire game where my character was Catholic when he inherited. Don't know why. Only Catholic in my court was his wife.

If your wife is a different religion you can get the option to convert. The AI sometimes takes it. Same goes with concubines I think.

Heirs had no wives and I wouldnt marry them to slav's anyways, big factor being the "must not marry infidel" modifier that I cant overcome most of the time.

No it's the same for everyone.

No I think that option is everyone. I think he meant the pillow talk event.
And even if it is only for pagans im Suomenusko, but reformed. Not sure if that counts me as pagan still or not.

You won't get the same options as an unreformed pagan.

Have you looked if your son had any Slavic pagan friends? He could have gotten the conversion event between friends of different religions.

Hmm, ill check once I return to the game again. Though I just got an event of someone complaining to me about suomenusko courtiers trying to convert them to the true faith, and then getting options to I think imprison, talk to them about it or ignore. So might it be that for some dumb reason the Slavic person who now complained to me was previously converting my Sons the same way? And for some reason my sons are the only ones who let themselves be converted and dont instead come to me?

That's also plausible.

Is your son cynical or arbitrary? If I recall correctly both of these traits greatly influence the chances of him changing religions.

I think the first one might have been cynical, I char created my first ruler to be cynical and might have RPd a bit to give my son cynical aswell. But second son definetly wasnt cynical, not zealous either which would have probably stopped the conversion. :/
