Problem with editor

When I save in the editor my scenario I always get this message

cannot create file .\scenarios\1939\eng.inc

So, as a result, I can't edit anything.
Any of you know what's wrong?

PS: This happens to all scenarios I try to edit, not only 1939 scenario

you arent alone... same feeling, different problem. It shouldnt be this hard nowadays. SAD! Brilliant game but if you cant play it.... :wacko:

The in game editor is BAD, VERY BAD. It will corrupt your save game at least if not the entire installation. DO NOT USE IT.

Anything you want to edit can be done manually with a simple text editor like Notepad.

You could also try Jamie550's editor

In Jamies550's editor every time I press the Save button the editor does not save anything.

The "official" game editor worked perfectly but now for a strange reason it doesn't work.


I now need some help with the Notepad..
I can't find the nation I want to play. For example, I try to edit the "Free off map IC" but I can't find my country's "Free off map IC" (Soviet Union)

Make sure you are in the right scenario folder.

The easiest way to find a specific nation is to search for capital = xxx where xxx= the province id of the capital of the country.

hi dont ever use that game editor it will ruin ur installation of hoi2 ive already experienced it twice and twice is enough hahaha
