problem getting started

While trying to install victoria I've come across a problem, twice now its said half way through the installation "Cannot find file Victoria/Scenarios/1861/France_rhone_alpes.csv and then the whole installation shuts down

I'm not even sure if theres anything I can do on my side but I may as well ask

Install OHgamer's hotfixes. This link should work.

Edit: Or wait, is that when installing Revolutions or basic Victoria? If you're trying to install revolutions, install Victoria patch 1.04 before.

Judging from your icon this is about Victoria: Revolutions. Have you tried re-downloading the installer from Gamersgate? I've had no problems at all during installation.

OHGamer's hotfixes are a must, that's true, but they should be installed only after you've made sure basic V:R works.

No its installing vanilla victoria that I'm having these problems

Ah, my mistake. I thought you bought Victoria Complete, but, of course, you might have just bought the add-on online. If you're installing from an original CD try cleaning it and try it on another computer just to be sure. You could also try copying the contents of the CD on your hard drive and install it from there. I'm not sure how to get a replacement from PI.

In any case, knowing your operating system would be helpful. Vicky doesn't like Vista that much, for example.

okay i'm using XP and downloading it off gamersgate

I tried downloading it again to see if it was merely that one download being the problem, same problem so now I'm confused
