If you see revolters in other german minor states help them to fight the revolters, also i've added in my industrialism mod(see sig) an ai file for each german minor through which the minors are more likely to build troops and this should make it easier for them to resist these revolts.
Another point is if an revolt is successfull all alliances are broken which makes it easy to annex them! :D

but as I said. Bavaria doesnt even have any revolts and still go democratic...

I know it has in my games. The last two times, Bavaria goes democracy. The first time it was early like around 1845. The last time, it was OCTOBER 1850 - I wanted the event to fire, so I DOW (the you know what hit the fan) but I took them out, BUT I couldn't annex of course. I signed the peace treaty & then DOW again (with all the loss to prestige) and wasn't able to annex until end of January 1851. I was worried that the event woudn't fire, but it did & I formed Germany. It was fun the war it turned out, but I helped all the minors with revolts, yet 4 or 5 went Demo.

Which reforms have they made? If they have special social reforms they can turn democratic!
If it's so i think it's an ai file problem because they using only the default ai in vanilla 1.03 and there are no preferences on social reforms defined.
So it could be that they tend more to make social reforms!?

hehe. Both Bavaria and Hanover had all social reforms at lowest. And sufferage, free press, public meetings and non socialist trade unions. With the exception on trade unions on hanover who had none.

thats a little weird :)

It may be the reason why they become democracy but it maybe not because in 1.03 you will not get always democracy only on free press and suffrage.
The exactly way i don't know but there is a thread concerning to this topic.
I will have a look at it! ;)

Found the thread and it explains the problem very well:
They have suffrage as monarchy and become democracy!
If they were constitutional monarchy they wouldn't turn to democracy even if they have suffragae and other reforms(only through revolts they turn to democracy)!
Look here

think I will edit my AI files so they all are con monarchies. This way they will not (hopefully) turn democratic. But it will be very easy to get the conservative event..

cant find any other solution..

No I don't think so. Although there wasn't much democracy in Ger in 1851 historically, the Conservative Empire event in Vicky is almost too easy. I like the fact that you most of time have to beat France.

btw I've just seen the "zollverein" event for the first time. What a mess for Germany... :D

hehe, yeah. Wilhelm must be really miffed.
In my game doubly so cause he didn't invade France so no empire

What happens if you observe the conditions for the event (ie all eligible German minors either Monarchy or Const. Monarchy - or already part of "mother" Prussia" :p ) ) only after April 1851 (eg. by 1854)?

Will the event trigger anyway or must you wait until 1871 for the 3 Hurrays (if you indeed vanquish Austria an dconquer Paris by then)?

The event will still trigger even if you've annexed one or more of the minors.

Wilhelm - that wasn't exactly the question, though. The question - and I don't know the answer off the top of my head, either - is whether there's an end date on the Conservative Empire event.
