I am stuck unable to put my infantry on transports. I have successfully captured Carolina island chain (5 islands or so and part of a single sea zone) from Japan with a large amphibios invasion force. I have positioned some infantry on each of the islands in the chain so that the entire sea zone is under my control. Now, after waiting for the transports and the infantry to be at 100% organization, I'd like to reboard most of my troops back on transports to capture more sea zones.

However, positioning transports in the sea zone with rested infantry does not activate the board ship button (not for the infantry, nor for the transports).

I've also tried to have my infantry move to the transports by selecting a unit and right clicking on the transport. Does not work.

Anyone had a similiar experience and could figure out what to do? Appreciate your response!

Um, why are you loading them into the water? I just move the ships to the island, and just hit the 'load' button or lower-case 'L'. Instant-load.

Does loading into a sea province provide some advantage? Or am I misreading this post?

I think it's because your ships aren't exactly docked at the islands, they're just sitting in an adjacent sea zone, correct?

If that's the case, then you simply need to select the infantry you wish to load onto the transport, and right click that sea zone.

It should work just like moving troops on land, except you're telling them to move into a sea zone in which there are transports/

I think if you put your view on closest you can, then you can actually move your transports right up to the island instead of next to it...sometimes if on a smaller view (farther out) you cannot actually click on the island.....

Once the transport is on the island itself, you should be able to load your troops...

Hope it helps.

Yup, just leave the Inf on the island. Move the ships ONTO the island itself (ie into its port) and then board the ships and then move the ships away.

Unless theres somethign I dont know, thats works without fail for me.
