So, as the title says, I play as a republic. I've went through 5+ successions and on each and every one of them like half of my court dies, which is extremly annoying since successions happen every few years or so (yeah, it's a gerontocracy) and assembling a perfect court is one of those things that are the key gameplay aspects of the CK. Just now my Doge died, and I've lost my steward, my spymaster and all my perfect 20+ military skill commanders. They all die of "poor health" and the only common thing between them is that they are landless dynastyless commoners.
I know that the "of poor health" cause of death is used by the game to clean up characters court so that the game doesn't slow down because landed chars have 100+ people in their courts, but in this instance this is certainly a bug, right? Surely the game isn't supposed to remove the characters that have positions at court, especially those as important as the council positions?!
Has anyone else experienced it? Is there a fix? I've installed HIP in its default configuration.
