Thats not an option...this is for tweaking a mod already in use by lots of people, plus that is loads of work!

U00 is CSA. And yep- I gave the event to UK to see if they could puppet USA and got the same CTD.

Any claims U00 has on USA are already resolved before puppeting event fires.

And the regular id bit...thats located in the INC files? Even so, as its a Uxx tag would that apply?

The solution should be rather simple, if inane. It has been my experience that nations with puppets cannot become puppets. As such, you have to release all of the CSA puppets before they can be annexed. I ran into a similiar problems making some new order events.

I thought that would not be an issue..but I'll try it and see...

Well....lo and behold. It was the USA having puppets that was the issue! Once I removed Quebec as a puppet, the event worked properly...

Although I have no idea how puppeting works when others have said they have seen nations with puppets get puppeted....oh well, at least its working!

The game seems to have some weird programming quircks like that, I think the problem is that if the USA gets puppeted and presumably joins the CSA, Quebec wouldnt switch. So it would end up being USA VS. existing puppet. Just something that bothered me about the game.

Its entirly possible there are, but the problem is that when the master changes alliegience, the change seems to not affect the puppet. As long as the master doesnt end up at war with the puppet the event should function.
