Thanks Major McGrath. I would really appreciate that. I have MTIA covered, so MERL would be the obvious choice, but my MESA just seems to using the job to dine out well and little else, so either one really would be fine. MESA needs to work out a plan to get Omnicare back on its feet, and MERL has to do the same thing for the rest of the economy. The MDIS and MIDA has shown some activity, so I didn't plan to shuffle those posts, unless a lateral move was involved.

I understand. MESA handles the environment, sports, insurance, and welfare. Would that be of interest? If not, perhaps I could ask Josephus to switch to MESA, which would open up MIDA, which is infrastructure (roads, rails, airports, and communications), and Federal Law enforcement (FLEA), if you were more interested in that one?

The main work of enforcement comes from the FLEA agents, and is under Hedgar Joover, their Director. FLEA would not suddenly be militarized by having you take on the role of MIDA.

Does the party have a view about our country signing the treaty banning the use of landmines? I am inclined to sign it, but would be interested in your input. I understand it is mostly symbolic, but a little bit of favorable symbolism would help about now.

I would like to apply on the position of MIDA, only if Josephus agrees, i don't want to steal the chair to anyone.

St. Esprit is thinking of dismantling their army. Our army is more than twice as large as Tilapia's. What do we need landmines for? Neither the Spanish or the French have territorial ambitions. Landmines tend to create problems long after they are need, hurting the people that live near where they were sown. The attacking army they were intended to be used against quickly adapts their tactics and they become merely a nuisance to the high command. Over a hundred other countries have already signed the treaty. The point of doing so is to get the US to remove the land mines on our soil, in their base, and to encourage the Tilapians to remove theirs.

Per O'Floinn, I noticed the Food Standards and Safety Act voting deadline passed, so that bill is ready to go to the Senate.

Does any one else have any more thoughts about the treaty banning land mines?

It would be convenient to pass an appropriation bill for MIDA, to be able to repay the bonds issued to pay for the purchase of the highways back from the Portuguese before the Senate elections, as it costs us about 18 million ducats a term extra for those bonds because they pay higher interest than our government debt.

As far as my research indicates, we have not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. If this is right, I think we should. We don't want nuclear weapons. What does the party think?

The problem with the GA is already solved (thanks John), and about the Nuclear proliferation, i think we should sign that treaty. It's just a formal thing, but at least it will help Eutopia's name to be seen around the world, something like "Hey, we still exist!"
