MIDA regulates broadcast media, so you could probably require existing stations to carry whatever public service announcements you had in mind, but try to do it in a way that upset the broadcasters.

No, it would be more like ENDTech, where the MIDA only has supervisory roles. the head of the station would not be elected, but appointed and replaced in vacancy. The GA could regulate the content, but it would be assumed that the media would be politically neutral.
Government corporations like Endtech were established by either the constitution or could be by legislation, just doing so by regulation would not give it the firmest legal footing. You might want to bring it up in the GA.

Can someone plead to the US to lift trade sanctions on Eutopia? I would gladly serve as an envoy to tell the U.S. government that we mean no threat to the security of the United States, and that we respect them for their freedom and democracy. As you know, there have been speculations that we are responsible for Truman's death.
I asked nicely for the sanctions to be lifted at the begining of the term. They declined. The next President can ask again, if we show that we have not been a breeding ground for terrorism or anything else reprehensible this term. In the meantime, we shop for weapons in Russia, if we need something.

Have you read the Eutopia NEWSLINK? It's not just weapons, they've banned all trade with us, and have vowed to lift sanctions against anyone giving us arms. If the U.S. President does not veto it, our economic situation is down the toilet.
I have now, as I indicated in my briefing. I will summon the American Ambassador, but I will not plead.
In the contingency that the United States should embargo us, we should get other countries to invest here. The incentive is obvious: no Big Nasty American Capitalist Behemoth (TM). Perhaps we should get Japanese companies to invest here, for incentives and such.
It isn't so much the investing as where we can sell our products. Investing will be hurt if the intended market was the US.
I have a proposal: I am planning to establish a highway into the WET. It will run from Uxbridge through Dunwich to Eirikshamn. I will award contracts to anyone who can do the job. Who is in favor?
Please publicize your plan to get public comment. It would be a long way from Eutopia City or Gilford to have to go all the way east to Uxbridge than double back west to Western Eutopia, so people would keep using the same unsafe, clogged back roads that they do now if you build just that route. Could you look into two separate projects? A Gilford to Harton to Farpoint route and a Dunwich to Kirby to Uxbridge route. There would be an interchange somewhere in the Dunwich-Kirby and Gilford-Harton sections. The latter route could possibly be extended to Landfall, if there was enough traffic to justify it. Contracts should be awarded by competitive bidding, but split the job up so more than just the largest firms can compete. That will help keep costs down.
