Ah, I'd still rather wait and see the vote totals. Make sure that Langley has OFFICIALLY gotten off the ballot before we promise an CC offices, see how many RD & ESRP (and MP
! ) votes are received for parliament versus our presidential count, etc.
I'd also really like to get the other parties to give us an evaluation of what they think they did and who in their party did it. I want to make sure that John has the best workers in his cabinet and not a bunch of patronage-stooges who happen are there to collect government paychecks and little else.
(OOC: Not to be harsh to any real player, just trying to be a little righteous about getting good people for all of these jobs!
)
Also, let's think about what happens if we win the Presidency but are blown out of the parliament. I'd love to be in the parliament, but if I don't get in, maybe I could get a ministry or deputy position instead?
And, not to keep going on this, but what about situations where, for example, everyone demands the MECT.
If they know they're not going to get it (because we announce that you will get it, for example) would they still support the coalition?
I say keep a poker face and wait until we see what cards are dealt before we show our hand.
